Welcome.
My name is Andrea Ashley and I am super grateful to have you here.
We'll start by coming into a comfortable seated position with a lengthened spine and hands placed on the knees or thighs.
Take a few moments to settle in.
Ensure you are comfy cozy in a place without any distractions.
Once you have settled the physical body,
Begin to bring your awareness inward.
Letting go of your day.
Letting go of tension,
Stress,
Worry.
Let it all go for now.
Taking this time to return to yourself.
Begin now to bring your awareness to your breath.
Not making any changes to it as of yet.
Just simply observing the inhales and exhales.
Using the awareness of the breath to anchor you in this present moment.
At any time during this meditation,
Should you feel you have drifted off or become distracted,
You can choose to bring yourself back to my voice or back to your breath.
Whatever works best for you to bring yourself back into this meditation.
Continuing now to focus on your breath.
Inhaling and exhaling naturally as I introduce the crown chakra.
This chakra is the seventh primary chakra.
It is located just above the crown of the head,
Beyond the physical body and beyond intellectual knowing.
And it is represented by the color violet or even white light.
It is said that Shiva and Shakti,
Masculine and feminine unite here.
This is the space where clarity and spiritual awakening occur.
Beyond ego,
Understanding all is interconnected.
If your crown chakra is blocked,
You can experiencing feelings of disconnectedness.
An imbalance can show up as loneliness or inability to connect with others.
An inability to set or maintain goals or simply lack of direction.
Physically,
It can manifest as nerve pain,
Insomnia,
Reoccurring headaches or migraines,
Nerve pain or even Alzheimer's.
On the other side,
If it is overactive,
You may have obsessive thoughts constantly out of the present moment by focusing on the past or the future.
While if it is underactive or inactive,
It may show up as unaware,
Joyless,
Lack of identity,
Lack of values or even selfishness.
However,
When the crown chakra is balanced,
We feel unity,
Open minded,
Connected and generally at peace.
Bringing your awareness back to your breath,
You can choose to continue to breathe slowly and deeply naturally into the nose or at the nose.
Or if you'd like,
You can integrate Nadi Shodhana Pranayama,
Alternate nostril breathing.
If you're choosing to do this,
Bring the left hand onto your lap,
Palm facing up.
Placing the peace fingers of the right hand on your third eye,
So just in between the eyebrows.
And you'll be closing the right nostril with your thumb and the left nostril with your ring finger when instructed.
With your hands in place,
We'll begin by taking three regular cleansing breaths in through the nose and out.
Two more.
Last one.
After that third exhale,
With your right hand in place,
Begin to block the right nostril with the thumb.
We'll inhale for one,
Two.
We will hold both nostrils now for five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One and exhale through the left nostril for two,
Three,
Four.
Inhale through the left nostril for one,
Two.
Hold.
Exhale through the right nostril.
Inhale through the right nostril.
Hold both.
Exhale through the left nostril.
Inhale through the left nostril.
Hold.
Exhale through the right nostril.
Inhale through the right nostril.
Hold.
Exhale through the left.
Inhale left.
Hold.
Exhale right.
Inhale right.
Hold.
Exhale left.
Inhale left.
Hold.
Exhale right.
Inhale right.
Hold.
Exhale left.
Inhale left.
Hold.
Exhale right.
Inhale right.
Hold.
Exhale left.
Inhale left.
Hold.
Exhale right.
Continue practicing this breathing pattern at your own pace.
Exhale left.
Hold.
Exhale right.
Hold.
Hold.
Letting go of your Nadi Shodhana breath now.
Begin to bring your attention to your crown chakra.
Focusing your attention to just above your head,
Visualizing a violet or white vortex in this area.
Take a moment while you're visualizing this to set your intention to balance this chakra.
Once the intention is set,
Begin now to observe how this chakra looks.
Notice the color that is coming up for you.
The size.
The shape.
Notice any and all visual aspects of this chakra.
It's okay if nothing comes up for you visually today.
Moving your attention now to how it feels.
Are there any physical sensations?
Perhaps it's not even in the area of the chakra.
It could be somewhere else in the physical body.
Just notice any and all sensations that may be coming up for you.
Notice now how it is functioning.
Is it moving?
If so,
Is it slow or fast?
In which direction?
Is it a large open light or a small dim light?
Take a few moments and observe what is coming up for you in this chakra.
Bring your attention back to your breath.
Breathing in.
And breathing out.
Slowly and deeply.
Breathing in.
And breathing out.
With every inhale,
Try to visualize breathing in this violet or white light into your crown chakra.
Watching as the glow from this light starts to gently expand.
With every in-breath,
You pull in more fresh light,
Allowing it to fill your crown chakra and spread outwards.
Breathing in unity,
Peace and wisdom.
Breathing in beautiful light.
Breathing out selfishness.
Breathing in connectedness.
Breathing out isolation.
Breathing in clarity.
Breathing out lack of direction.
Breathing in the present moment.
Breathing out obsessive thoughts.
Breathing in gorgeous,
Fresh expanse of light.
Breathing out any feelings of discontent.
Continue to breathe slowly and deeply and repeat after me.
I know.
I understand.
I am.
I am healed.
I am at peace.
I am unity.
I am light.
I am whole and complete.
I am connected to all that is.
I am oneness.
I am healed.
I am at peace.
I am unity.
I am light.
I am whole and complete.
I am connected to all that is.
I am one.
I am healed.
I am at peace.
I am unity.
I am light.
I am whole and complete.
I am connected to all that is.
I am oneness.
I know.
I understand.
I am.
I am.
I am.
I am.
And take a moment to breathe in this meditation.
Breathe in joy.
Breathe in gratitude.
Thanking yourself for your practice.
For taking the time to reset,
Recenter and reconnect.
Wishing you a beautiful day.
Namaste.
