Feel and sense your surroundings with your eyes still closed and let all the sounds in the background just blend together in a symphony played just for you.
Sensing the space around and inside your body,
Just observing.
Whatever you feel inside,

Become aware of the earth beneath you,
Supporting you at all times.
She never wavers.
She is always there.
Thank her for the safety and stability she provides.
Imagine in your mind's eye the top layers of soil and rock underneath you,
Extending out in every direction,
Covering the entire earth's surface.
Sense the mountains and valleys,
The deserts and the plains.
Picture the rivers,
Oceans,
And lakes flowing over and through her.
See the vegetation as it springs to life from the soil after the rain,
Breathing and co-creating the atmosphere.
Cacti,
Shrubs,
Giant forest trees,
Fragrant flowers,
Tiny mosses and lichens.
If you were a tree,
Your roots would search deep into the ground,
Stabilizing your trunk and intertwining and intermingling with the roots of all the other trees in the vast network of life that spans the globe.
Your branches would reach for the light,
Your leaves respiring and absorbing the rays from the sun and the cosmos beyond.
Feel your intricate connection with this web of life.
Everything is in flow,
In cyclical movement.
Everything is connected around the entire sphere of the earth.
Sense all of this vibrant life as it covers the globe,
And then sense further down below the root level.
Feel the layers of cool rock as you move down deeper inside the earth.
Perceive the crystalline structures that vibrate with Mother Earth's pure essence of love and creation,
Her soul song.
Imagine the cavernous openings underground,
The deeper currents of water flowing through her porous structure.
Go deeper now,
Toward the glowing core,
Broiling with pure creative power.
This is Mother Earth's heart.
Gaia's heart shines brighter than gold,
Like an internal sun.
Let's see how close we can get.
Mother Earth,
We ask permission now to enter into your sacred heart.
She radiates love in response.
