Welcome to this contemplation on self-care.

This meditation is your chance to check in with yourself and find ways to treat yourself with just a little more kindness,

A little more compassion,

And a lot more self-awareness.

Doing this regularly can increase your energy,

Lighten your mood,

And even bolster your immune system and your overall sense of health and well-being.

You'll be more effective at work,

More resilient during challenging times,

And you deserve it.

Begin by finding a quiet space and a comfortable position so that your body feels relaxed and supported.

When you're ready,

Close your eyes and take a deep breath in,

Exhaling slowly.

Keeping your awareness on your breath,

Let each inhale grow deeper and slower,

Taking big belly breaths in,

Holding for a moment,

And then exhaling slowly.

Take a moment now to observe any thoughts still racing through your mind,

And first give thanks to your mind for always being ready to serve you.

But your mind needs a rest too sometimes,

So now imagine your mind is a radio,

And you can just change the dial to a different station or frequency.

Turn the dial to pick up the frequency of stillness.

Put all your focus on the energy of this stillness.

If your mind wanders,

Bring it back.

With every inhale now,

Feel as the oxygen enters your body,

Circulating all around,

Nourishing your head,

Chest,

Abdomen,

Arms,

And legs with fresh,

Clean energy.

Keeping your awareness at your legs and feet,

Feel the support of the ground beneath you as Mother Earth rises to support and hold you,

Unwavering and constant.

Feeling grounded and supported,

Send all energies that are not yours out of your body and field now.

Just intend that it be so.

Say the words to yourself,

And imagine all the residual energies from other people and places leaving you and going back to wherever they belong now.

Intend that all of your own energy comes back to you.

See it pouring in through the top of your head,

And flowing down through your body all the way to your feet,

Filling in all the gaps and causing every cell to glow with the light of your own pure,

Fresh energy.

Feel this energy emanating from your heart space most of all,

Shining like a bright,

Beautiful sun,

And radiating out to fill every inch of the space around you,

Filling your auric field.

With your mind still taking a break to rest in silence,

This is your chance now to really check in and ask your heart and your body what they need from you.

When you ask yourself the following questions,

You might sense an answer,

Or the answer might come sometime later.

The important thing is just to ask,

And then be willing to listen.

First,

Ask your heart,

Heart,

What do you most need from me right now?

What is one small thing I can do today to treat you with more respect,

Gratitude,

And compassion?

What would it be like to feel safe,

Cared for,

And loved?

Promise your heart you will take action on any answers that come,

And that you will check in again to keep the line of communication open.

Turning to your body now,

You can ask,

Body,

What do you most need from me right now?

What is one small thing I can do today to treat you with more respect,

Gratitude,

And compassion?

What would it be like to feel refreshed,

Restored,

Healthy,

And full of energy?

Making note of whatever answers and ideas come to you.

Resolve to keep checking in with your body,

And really listen to what it's telling you,

And then give it what it needs.

Because the more you listen,

The more information will come.

Thanking your body and heart for communicating with you,

Now and in the future,

You can gently rest in this space of gratitude for a moment,

And then slowly open your eyes to become aware of your surroundings.

Remember to give yourself the gift of following up on whatever answers come to you.

Treat yourself with just a little extra kindness and compassion every day.

Take care of your heart and body,

And they will serve you joyfully.

They really love this connection with you,

And you deserve to feel happy,

Healthy,

And connected at all times.
