Welcome to day nine of radiance.
Today we are going to be working with the bones and the joints of the body.
Yesterday we went through and connected with our muscular system and tapped into an inner sense of power possibly,
Possibly freeing up some energy and again just feeling our own aliveness,
Turning up the volume on our own aliveness by working with those muscles.
Today we're going deeper,
We're touching into our skeleton,
The bones of our body,
The joints,
Of our body.
Our bones allow us to feel stable,
They give us structure,
And on the energetic level the bones connect us to our ancestors.
The bones hold a lot of wisdom and we're going to stimulate our bones with some movement.
You can think of today's practice like a moving meditation.
And standing might be best for this practice,
But if you would rather sit,
If you'd prefer to be seated,
You can make this work that way as well.
So either stand or sit.
In these first few moments,
Let's just arrive.
So maybe you close your eyes.
Start to breathe a little deeper.
And whether you're standing or sitting,
Let yourself just sway a little side to side,
Starting to feel the weight of your body shifting around.
Swaying a little bit and noticing your structure,
The shape of your body which is held up by your bones.
And of course,
With the support of your muscles.
And take a breath,
Breathing into the bones of your body.
Using your mind's eye to visualize your skeleton Breathing into it.
And we're going to begin to shake out the body.
We're going to begin to shake the bones and the joints of the body.
And so sometimes it's easiest to start with the hands and the arms and just begin to shake them out in any way that feels good to you.
We've got lots of bones in the body.
So many joints,
So many places where two bones connect,
And we want to shake out those places and start to loosen things up,
Get things unstuck,
Right?
If the joints have been feeling a little sticky,
We're going to get unstuck with this shaking movement.
So from the hands and the arms shaking,
Think about the wrists,
The elbows and into the shoulders,
Shaking them out a little bit.
And if you're standing,
You might even be able to.
Lift the heels and let them drop down into the floor,
Creating a bounce through the whole body.
And then just letting this kind of bouncing,
Shaking,
Maybe rocking or swaying start to ripple through your whole body.
Letting your spine and all the bones running along your spine start to awaken.
Up into the head,
Creating a little movement in your head.
And into the legs as well.
So if you're standing,
You might shift your weight to one foot,
Fold onto a chair or the wall and shake out one leg.
And then switch sides.
Or you could lie down and send the legs and the arms up into the air and give them a good shake.
So keep it going for the next minute or so,
Just shaking out the different parts of your body or shaking your entire body all at once,
Thinking of yourself like a bag of bones and letting those bones be jostled around just a little bit.
Make it your own,
Be intuitive,
Be curious about this shaking.
As you're shaking it can be helpful sometimes to breathe out through an open mouth or to make a sound.
Or even to hum.
Humming can vibrate the bones.
And notice if there's a part of your body that doesn't like to shake,
That doesn't want to shake,
That feels resistant to loosening up.
And you don't have to make anything happen here.
You're just noticing.
Where things are loose and open and free and where there's more restriction.
Take just a few more moments of shaking out your body in any way that feels good to you.
Shaking off any old energy,
Shaking off anything that no longer serves you,
Shaking off what you are ready to let go of.
And begin to slow things down and bring yourself back to stillness.
And as you come back to stillness,
Come into a position that feels comfortable for you.
So if you've been standing,
You can keep standing or sit down or lie down.
And all you're going to do now is feel,
Just feel what's vibrating alive inside of you.
What did you shake up?
What did you wake up?
What's buzzing?
And as you breathe in and breathe out,
Can you really feel how the breath can expand even more now?
Now that you've woken up your entire body,
When you breathe in,
Can you feel this sense of greater expansion?
The whole body and maybe even the energy field around your body expanding out.
And then as you breathe out,
Just really relishing in your own radiance.
Thanks.
Every cell in your body right now is glowing with its own aliveness.
Let your bones rest and attune to the wisdom that they carry.
Your bones are the wisdom keepers inside of you.
Passed down through your lineages,
Through your ancestors,
To you,
Stored here in your body,
In your bones.
So taking one or two more breaths here.
Grateful for these beautiful bones of yours that hold you up and give you shape and structure that carry wisdom.
Inside of you.
And sealing all of this in with one last deep breath in through the nose,
Side out through an open mouth.
I look forward to waking up even more of ourselves tomorrow.
Have a beautiful rest of your day.
