Hello and welcome to this special second chakra meditation to help you get into the flow.
My name is Amy Patti and I will be your guide today.
Thank you so much for tuning in to take this time for yourself to get into the flow.
So come into a comfortable seat and just take a moment to really kind of settle in here.
So adjusting your body or wiggling your body a little bit.
However you've chosen to sit,
If you're sitting cross legged,
Great.
If you're sitting on a chair,
Awesome.
But really check in.
Check in with your legs to start.
Check in with your feet.
And just notice if anything feels a little off,
Like maybe one foot or one leg is just slightly out of place.
You're going to adjust and take some time to really consider how your legs,
How your feet are situated.
Adjust until they feel like they're in their perfect sweet spot.
The perfect spot for you is going to probably be a place that feels really comfortable.
It's a place that allows you to relax even more and become even more present.
When the body is placed perfectly,
You don't have as many distractions.
The body is calm,
It's relaxed,
It's comfortable,
And therefore you can really focus your awareness upon the breath,
Upon other sensations.
It's not distracted by a feeling of discomfort or being out of alignment.
And then once the legs feel like they're in place,
Go ahead and just shift your awareness to your arms.
Notice how you've placed your hands,
Notice how the arms are resting,
And even feel into your shoulders a little bit.
Is there any adjustments,
Any little shifts that you can make that will allow you to feel more comfortable?
That will help you feel even more aligned.
And then noticing your pelvis,
Your hips.
And again,
Maybe there's a little shift that can happen here that will allow you to feel like you can sit with greater ease,
More comfort.
Maybe nothing actually has to move or shift,
But you just notice little places that are tight or tense,
And just by noticing those places,
They release and you become more comfortable inside your own pelvis here,
Within your own hips.
Moving up into your torso,
Feeling the length of your spine,
Feeling into the belly and the rib cage.
Is there anything that you could change here to help you feel greater alignment throughout the torso,
A sense of ease and comfort within your body?
If so,
Make those changes.
And again,
Those changes might come through just a simple release.
You noticing tension and then letting it go.
Shift your attention up into your neck,
Your throat,
And then let your awareness scan across your face,
Into your head.
Seeing if your head feels like it's in alignment with the rest of your body.
Is your jaw gripping?
Is your neck tight?
Again,
Making any little adjustments here that could allow you to feel even 3% more comfortable in your body.
And then tuning into your breath,
And just begin to feel the flow of your breath.
Where can you feel the breath moving through your body?
And can you invite your inhalations and your exhalations to just flow with ease?
So you're not trying to shape them in any specific way,
But you're opening to the natural flow of your breath.
The second chakra,
Which is within the pelvic bowl,
The center of your pelvis,
Sometimes referred to as the sacral chakra,
It relates to the element of water.
And when the chakra is vibrant and healthy and balanced,
We can really come into an easy organic flow.
We can flow with the universe.
We can flow through life with ease.
And we can flow through life's challenges with greater ease.
So as you really tune in and allow your body to find its comfortable place,
You're finding a way to flow with what's naturally here with you right now,
With how your body is.
As you tune into your breath,
Flowing in and out,
Creating waves through the body,
You're connecting to a natural organic flow that is constantly influencing you.
Letting yourself receive what feels good,
Letting yourself receive this gentle oscillating wave-like motion through your body allows you to come into the flow of the universe.
Learning how to experience this as you're sitting and meditating will then allow you to recreate the sensation when you're moving through your day,
When you're out and about at work or out with friends or hanging out with your family and you feel like things get a little bumpy,
Things get a little tricky.
Can you relax?
Can you adjust your body to feel good?
Can you begin to feel the easy flow of your breath moving through you?
This is the medicine of a healthy second chakra.
This energetic center within the pelvis invites us into the flow,
Into greater ease,
Into a playful way of moving through life with less resistance,
Less struggle and less suffering.
Come back to feeling the wave of your breath.
Experience again how your body feels and make any adjustments to help you feel more comfortable.
Let's take three more fluid breaths.
The jaw is relaxed,
Allowing that breath to flow in and out with ease.
One more complete breath in,
Complete breath out.
Gathering your palms together at the front of your chest,
Honoring this medicine of water,
The medicine of fluidity,
The medicine of going with the flow.
Take a deep breath in through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
