Welcome.
It only takes a moment to breathe,
To pause,
And come home to yourself.
Whether you're new to mindfulness or simply need a moment to reset,
The simple meditation offers space to reconnect with your body,
Your breath,
And the rhythm of your heart.
To begin,
Start by tending to your body,
Finding a comfortable position that feels both relaxed and alert.
Let your hands rest naturally.
When you're ready,
Gently close your eyes or lower your gaze.
Let this be a pause from doing,
A moment to simply be.
Now bring your attention to your breath.
Notice its natural rhythm without needing to change it.
Just observing.
Is it fast or slow?
Deep or shallow?
Feel the air as it moves in and out.
Each breath like a wave moving through you.
And if it feels right,
Smile to your breath,
Signaling your nervous system that it's safe to let go a little.
You might even silently whisper,
Let as the inhale comes and go as the exhale passes through.
Letting go of any tension to whatever degree you're able.
Settling in,
Surrendering to the gentle pull of gravity,
Grounding you,
Connecting you to the earth below.
Breathing and arriving fully in this moment.
And now let's invite a few fuller,
Deeper breaths.
Inhaling slowly and gently through your nose and exhaling slowly,
Fully out through your mouth.
Breathing in,
Calming your body.
As you let go of the breath,
See if you can let go of any tension you might be holding.
What wants to let go or soften?
And now allowing your breath to return to its natural rhythm.
Just breathing in and out of your nose.
Notice how you feel.
There's nothing you need to do or fix,
Just noticing any shifts with kind curiosity.
And as you breathe,
Allow the sounds of the bells to wash over you with each breath,
With each bell.
And gently now begin to invite a little movement into your body,
Wiggling your fingers and toes,
Maybe rolling your shoulders or neck,
Just giving your body whatever it needs.
And when you're ready,
Opening your eyes and taking a moment here to notice the power of a simple pause.
Even a few minutes can calm the mind,
Ground the body,
And reconnect you with the quiet wisdom of your heart.
Thank you for being here.
Namaste.
