Welcome to the Green Meditation with Amy Babish.

You can begin by leaning back,

Lying down,

And allowing yourself to be as comfortable as possible.

You may want to have a glass of water close by,

Tissues or a handkerchief.

Just beginning to notice your breath,

Not having to lengthen it or shorten it,

Allowing the body to breathe you,

Allowing the breath to breathe you back from wherever you've been today,

This week,

This year,

Or perhaps this lifetime.

Beginning to allow the breath to welcome you back home.

You might notice the temperature of the breath,

The cadence or irregularity of the breath.

You might notice the sounds around you,

Just beginning to allow the breath to breathe you back to you.

And on the next inhalation,

Taking an elevator or lift of awareness with the current year age of yourself,

Your adult self,

Down into your physical heart,

Making gentle contact with both the front and the back of the physical heart.

And it might help to place one or two hands on the physical heart.

You might notice the temperature of the air on your skin.

You may notice the texture of your clothing on your hand or on your skin.

You might notice an openness or constriction on either the front or back of the heart or chest.

You may be able to notice the cadence or irregularity of your heartbeat,

But it's not required to make gentle contact with your physical heart.

On the next inhalation,

Taking that elevator or lift of awareness down into your pelvis.

Just noticing how your pelvis is the strongest bone in the human body.

It's where we take our metaphoric seat.

Allowing more of you to come down and in,

But remembering it's not required.

Giving yourself permission to even be 1% more comfortable.

That might be pausing this recording and grabbing a blanket or covering your feet or readjusting.

On the next inhalation,

Taking that elevator of awareness down into the physical feet and noticing how supported you are.

Whatever surface you're on is being supported by the room that you're in.

Whatever room you're in is being supported by whatever building you're in.

Whatever building you're in is being supported by the land that you're on and the Indigenous wisdom keepers that tended to that land past,

Present,

And emerging.

If you're in North America or different parts of the world,

You might be on land where enslaved people tended to that land.

There might be thousands or millions of people who've tended to that land before you arrived.

Just notice how held you are in this moment.

And then on the next inhalation,

With the speed of the imagination,

Allowing your energetic feet to go deep into the core of the heart of the world.

When your energetic feet reach the heart of the world,

We're shifting from doing to allowing and perhaps even from allowing to being.

You can place a spout or a spigot near the bottoms of your energetic feet and noticing that nothing is required of you here other than your permission.

Mother Earth,

The heart of the world,

Can unconditionally give to you.

Whenever you're ready,

Giving your consent or permission and beginning to invite in Mother Earth's green energy.

This green energy doesn't need to be seen,

Although it can.

You can begin to invite in whatever kind of divine green energetic resonates with you in this moment.

It might feel like wildflowers beginning to grow and bloom,

Or the most lush jungle.

It might feel like the most beautiful forest that you have been to or dreamed to go to.

Just inviting in whatever kind of green divine energy from Mother Earth up through the bottoms of your physical feet,

Through your calves and shins,

Through the front,

Back,

And sides of your knees,

Through your quads and hamstrings,

Through your pelvis,

Through your sexual organs,

Through your digestive organs,

And paying special attention to your liver,

Allowing that green divine energy from Mother Earth to come through your liver and your gallbladder.

And if you don't have them,

The energetic placeholders will be more than enough.

Through all four sides of your diaphragm,

Through the front and back of your lungs and heart,

Across your shoulder blades,

Down through your arms and fingertips,

Through the front and back of your throat,

Through your jaw,

Through your sinuses,

Through the front and back of your eyes,

And up through the crown of your head,

And beginning to notice that you are one who notices.

You're more vast and limitless than the mind or ego can realize.

On the next inhalation,

Inviting that divine green energy to double and flow,

Inviting it to go to places known and unknown,

Conscious and unconscious,

Places that desire more support,

Places that might be holding tension,

Constriction or confusion or stagnation,

Places that long to receive more,

More support,

More witnessing,

The ability to deeply release what no longer serves you,

The ability to allow a new growth cycle in the physical body,

The emotional body,

The thinking mind,

The energy body,

And with the spiritual self or true self or one who notices,

Or soul,

And just letting and allowing that energy that divinely and innately knows how to clear,

Resource,

And rebalance you,

Allowing it to unfold in all the layers of your system.

Just like a waterfall running over rocks,

Or a sun shower bathing the street,

Or kelp glistening in the sun deep in the ocean,

Just inviting whatever green your body-mind is longing for in this moment to support you and your system.

And again on the next inhalation,

Inviting that flow of green energy from the heart of the world,

From Mother Earth,

To double one last time.

Inviting it to be in your midst,

And you can stay here as long as you desire.

It can continue to unfold in you just as you would see a beautiful morning glory blooming every morning and closing back every night.

This process can gently unfold in you.

You can allow it to marinate,

To percolate,

To gently simmer with the most soothing gentle energy for as long as you desire.

You can press pause to allow this to unfold further,

Or you can complete with me in this moment.

If you're ready to complete,

Completing the process with three deep sighs,

Going into a lower register to help that energy complete and release from your system.

Inhaling,

Exhaling,

Inhaling,

Exhaling,

One last time,

Wiggling your fingers and toes,

Shrugging your shoulders,

Cat-cowing,

And coming back into the present moment,

Taking a sip of water and perhaps journaling about what you noticed and coming back to this meditation as often as you desire,

Sending blessings to you and the big life you came to live.
