Welcome to Stroll into Tranquility.
A lunchtime walk meditation can be a wonderful way to refresh your mind,
Connect with nature,
And rejuvenate yourself for the rest of the day.
If you are able,
Find an outdoor area where you can take a walk.
If you are unable to go outdoors,
This meditation will still provide you many benefits wherever you can find a moment for yourself.
As you step outside,
Take a deep breath.
Allow your lungs to fill with fresh air.
Exhale,
Releasing your breath with a big sigh.
As you continue to walk,
Allow your body to move at whatever pace feels natural for you.
Your pace could be slow,
Leisurely,
It could be a jog.
Whatever your pace,
Invite your sense of touch to become more alive.
Explore how your feet touch the ground,
How your weight shifts as you move from foot to foot.
Are your steps light,
Heavy,
Soft,
Nimble?
As your sense become more in tune with the environment,
Notice the colors,
Shapes,
Textures around you.
Can you hear birds chirping?
Maybe leaves dancing in the wind.
Can you feel the warmth of the sun on your skin?
The touch of the breeze on your face.
Shift your attention to the rhythm of your breath.
How with each inhale and exhale a feeling of connection to the world around you becomes more evident.
Invite this energy to infuse you with clarity and a sense of belonging.
As you continue your journey,
Begin to cultivate a sense of gratitude and appreciation for the beauty of nature surrounding you.
Invite this to fill you with a sense of abundance and interconnectedness with all of your many aspects of life.
Explore your surroundings with an eye of curiosity.
Does the sunlight dance and mingle with the shadows on the ground?
Are there animals or insects moving across your path?
Does anything stand out to you as you observe your surroundings?
As our journey nears its end,
Take a moment to reflect on how you feel.
Do you notice any shifts in your energy level,
Your mood,
Your emotional state?
Let your attention drift over your entire body,
Starting at the top of your head and ending at the soles of your feet.
Are any areas feeling tight or sore?
Give these areas permission to let go,
Melting away any lingering tightness.
Take a few moments to adjust your pace,
Slowly coming to a place of stillness.
Invite a few deep breaths with long exhales as you acknowledge the nourishment and peace this walk has provided.
You may want to gently wiggle your fingers,
Allowing your body to adjust.
Carry this sense of tranquility and connection with you as you continue your day.
Until next time,
May you know tranquility,
May you know connection,
May you know the healing properties of nature.
