Namaste and welcome to this body scan for our fears and tension related to intimacy and love.

Our bodies keep the score.

So we must become aware of where our fear manifests in our bodies.

Find a place to lie down or sit comfortably,

Close your eyes if that feels safe,

Bring your attention to your toes,

Wiggle the toes and let them relax,

Then wiggle the feet and let them relax.

Release any tension you feel in your ankles,

We especially hold tension in our joints.

So always pay special attention to the toes and the ankles and the knees.

Release the knees and then the hips especially.

Let them relax.

We hold so much trauma,

Trauma and anxiety and tension in the hips.

So maybe put your hands on your hips and maybe do a little light massage.

And then also the belly.

A lot of us clench our bellies when we're nervous,

We get a bellyache,

So put your hands over your belly and simply give a loving massage.

And then also coming to the chest,

We often hold our emotions here,

It's the center of our heart space.

Often one of the first places you feel emotion is here,

The tight chest.

So just place both hands over this heart space.

Unclench your jaw,

Release your shoulders,

Your elbows,

Your wrists,

Each and every finger.

Release the forehead and then just scan the body from head to toe and from toes back up to the head,

Softening and relaxing,

Letting each breath be like a gentle caress.

Encouraging you,

Nurturing you to relax and soften just a little more.

When you take your awareness to love and intimacy,

What is the first sensation that arises and where does it arise?

I want you to breathe into and out of that space.

And the breath is again just a loving,

Nurturing caress,

Telling yourself that it's okay to release what no longer serves you,

It's okay to release the shame,

It's okay to release the anger and the sadness,

The resentment,

The tension,

It's okay to let that go.

It served you,

It protected you and now it's time to go.

It can rest,

It's a you can rest.

It needs to go so we can make space for new life and for love and for your purpose and for your dreams to manifest.

It's okay to let go,

It's okay to release,

It's safe to release and in this space you're going to fill it with something so beautiful and so uniquely you.

And just thinking of it,

Your heart is swelling,

You're smiling because you just know what a beautiful life you have and will have.

Take a moment to think of all the things that you will replace these feelings,

These old memories,

This old shame.

Think of all the beautiful things you're going to put in the place of those things.

You can and will and you already do.

The fact that you're here,

Right here,

Right now,

Shows that.

So love yourself,

Hold yourself,

Congratulate yourself,

Encourage and nourish and nurture yourself.

Continue to breathe into and out of the space and repeat this for any part of the body where you are holding on to stuck emotions.

Namaste.

Namaste.
