This is a guided meditation practice to support one's mind and body amidst the noises and distractions that come from the outside world. It will support one in their choice to connect to the unaffected presence that lives within while also having the outside experience exist all at the same time.

This is the Eye of the Storm guided meditation.

Find a comfortable position for your body.

This could be seated or lying down.

It might be nice to do this outside for the effects of nature,

But inside is perfect too.

Chest walls could be tight.

Heart holding its breath.

Belly bracing itself for the next move.

I too understand this sensitive place right now.

I too would like to pull the blanket over my head to shut the world completely out.

Open your eyes.

Feel the ground beneath you.

Take a big breath in through your nose.

Feel the chest expand.

Feel the chest expand and as you breathe out through your nose listen for the hush sound that occurs in the back of your throat.

Feel the body empty and sink down further with every exhale.

Keep breathing and feeling the body move with your breath.

Touching down with the part of you that brought you here to this moment.

Close your eyes now.

Hand on heart.

Imagine that you are sitting in the center of a great big field.

The clouds are rolling in and blanketing the sky as if to tuck it in for a good night's sleep.

The wind blows and it whistles and it lifts the dust off of the ground around you.

You can smell the rain on the wind's breath.

And from the distance you can see a spiraling funnel cloud start to descend from the sky and touch down in the same field that you're sitting in.

The thunder begins to rumble.

You can feel the wind currents picking up and tossing through your hair.

Raindrops start to fall and kiss your cheekbones.

The funnel cloud whips and twirls and you watch it move closer to you and yet you still sit still and watch.

Take a deep breath in.

Straight into the center of you.

And exhale all the way down through the bottoms of your feet.

Ground and root in to the center of you.

You remain here still breathing as you watch the storm spin outside of you,

Knowing that it is unable to touch this presence that lives within you.

Breathe in and breathe out.

Allowing yourself to anchor even more into the center of your beingness.

And holding hands with the unaffected presence here that is you.

Notice your choice to be here right now.

Even when the outside world is noisy and kicks up dust,

Static and debris,

We can still choose our inside presence.

Take a breath in.

And breathe out.

Start to bring some movements into fingertips and toes.

Stretch up through the spine and breathe in.

Exhale and melt as you breathe out.

And when you're ready,

You can open your eyes to the room.

I like this one: straight forward and clear. Nice visuals. Not too long.
