Welcome to your third evening of release and rest,
The final stage of your Tuts Yoga sleeping journey.
Begin by settling into your comfortable position and gently closing your eyes.
It feels so good just to close the eyes down,
Letting go of the day and to just be.
Take a slow moment to arrive,
You have been here before,
You know this quiet space.
There is nothing to solve,
Nothing to figure out,
Just simply notice.
Let any remaining thoughts just move through the mind like soft distant sounds.
No need to follow them,
Just notice,
Just observe.
Tonight is about integration,
A gentle settling of the day,
Allowing everything to find its own place within you.
Begin to witness the breath but not wanting to change it in any way,
Just an awareness of its gentle comings and goings at its own unhurried pace.
Observing the subtle movements of the body with each inhale and each exhale.
From this gentle state of being rest your hands lightly at your sides,
Palms open and relax.
And just feel the gentle warmth and weight of your hands,
The quiet anchor of your own presence.
Now very slowly bring your thumbs to gently touch your index fingers,
Feel and think connection.
That sense of contact,
A gentle meeting yourself here in this moment.
Gently move your thumbs to the middle fingers,
A quiet feeling of trust,
Of being held,
Feeling steady and safe.
Now bring your thumbs to gently touch your ring fingers,
Feeling a sense of support,
There's nothing you need to carry right now in this moment.
Now finally let the thumbs gently touch the little fingers,
Here you feel a sense of wholeness.
You are complete and you are perfect just as you are.
Now allow your hands to fully relax,
A gentle release,
A final softening,
A quiet letting go.
A sense of completion,
Nothing more for you to do now,
Your arms are growing heavy,
Palms warm,
Fingers soft.
Feel the body settling deeper,
A gentle heaviness beginning to spread,
The breath is quietening.
Feels as if this stillness is wrapping around you,
Like a soft,
Cosy,
Comforting blanket.
Rest itself is restoring you but there's nothing more required,
If sleep comes let it take you.
If you remain resting that too is enough but for now simply drift.
