Shamanic Journey For Guidance And Clarity

Welcome to the Sacred Practice of the shamanic practitioner: The Shamanic Journey.

A shamanic journey is an experience wherein we use relaxation and sound (often with drums and rattles) and visualization to travel deep within ourselves to connect with spirit guides and our highest selves. In this journey, you will be guided to the lower world where you can connect with your spirit guide to get clarity on a life question or situation or simply experience a profound sense of connection and love.

Transcript

Lay your body on a bed or a floor.

Put a pillow underneath your head and a pillow underneath your knees.

And cover yourself with a blanket.

If you have an eye pillow or a kerchief,

Cover your eyes.

Bring yourself into a state of relaxed physical body.

Move and situate yourself in any way that you need to so that your body is relaxed and soft.

Turn your head a little bit from side to side.

Turn your palms so they're facing up and the shoulders relax.

Swivel your feet back and forth like windshield wipers,

Relaxing the legs.

And let the feet fall out to the side.

Feeling completely relaxed.

Begin to hear the sound of the rattle in the drum.

Hear the sound.

Feel the sound.

In your mind's eye,

Imagine that you're standing in a field of green grass.

Looking down at your feet,

See your feet.

See the bright green lush grass all around your feet.

Feel your feet on this earth in your imagination.

Look up at the sky.

See a bright blue sky.

Birds flying.

Clouds floating.

Sun shining.

Feel the air on your skin.

Not too warm.

Not too cold.

Temperature really neutral and comfortable.

Take a nice deep breath in and feel the fresh air enter your lungs.

Looking around you,

Noticing the vivid colors of the green grass and the blue sky.

Looking in front of you,

You see the edge of a forest.

The trees are green and lush and thick.

And the forest feels magical or otherworldly.

You're drawn to it,

So you begin to walk towards the forest.

As you get closer,

You're drawn to one tree in particular.

You're not sure why there's something about this tree that's calling you.

And then you get closer.

And the tree is so tall you can't see where it ends.

And you get closer to this tree and you see the trunk of the tree has these grooves in it that look like a ladder.

And you get closer still and you realize that right at the base of this tree is a hole.

And the ladder on the tree doesn't go up,

It goes down.

And you look down into this hole and it seems to go on forever,

But it's not scary.

It's exciting and interesting.

And your curiosity is so big that you begin to climb down the ladder through the hole.

And as you climb down,

Step by step,

You feel the air change and get cooler.

And the light softens and it gets dimmer.

It's not dark,

You can still see the tree bark.

The etchings of messages on the tree bark as you go down.

You're climbing down,

Down,

Down.

And soon you look up and you see the hole in which you came is a tiny,

Tiny,

Tiny little dot of light.

And you look down and you see another tiny,

Tiny,

Tiny dot of light.

And you continue your way down,

Down,

Down.

Until that tiny dot of light underneath you gets bigger and bigger.

And you begin to realize that you are at the top of a tree.

You see the branches and the leaves and the tree is so thick you can't see through it.

But eventually you descend down the tree and onto a ground of a land that is unlike any you've seen.

You look around you and the colors are vivid and bright.

The air feels different,

There's a tingle on your skin.

You begin to see movement and lights in the air like fireflies but bigger.

And one captures your attention.

A light and an orb floating and it twinkles a little to get your attention and it seems to want you to follow it.

And so you follow.

And as you follow you're going deeper into a magical forest that you don't recognize.

That's another dimension.

A dimension where spirit guides and teachers reside.

And so you ask this light to bring you to your spirit guide.

And you ask this light to bring you towards a guide who could answer your most important question today.

This light brings you to a beautiful sweet soft river.

And you sit on a rock next to this river.

And you wait.

You wait for your guide and your teacher.

And you're enjoying this moment,

Trusting that your guide is always there and will show when the time is right.

In the distance you see a light coming towards you,

A different light,

A brighter light,

A bigger light.

And as this light comes closer,

Gets bigger and bigger,

And as it comes in front of you it takes the form of your guide.

And as your guide stands before you,

You now ask your guide any questions that you may have in your heart and receive the answers.

And so you ask this light to bring you to your spirit guide.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And you wait.

And as you climb,

You can see the etches of messages,

Just for you.

Messages of love.

On the bark of this magical tree.

Climbing up,

Up.

And as you look up you see this circle of white light where that hole in the ground of your dimension exists.

You're feeling lighter and lighter,

So light that you practically float up and through this hole and land with your feet once again on the earth of the magical forest.

And you turn and you see this pasture of green grass for which your journey started and you walk out towards the pasture.

And you once again see the blue sky and the green grass.

Feel the air and the fresh,

Alive quality of this space.

And you look down at your feet.

You feel your feet on the earth.

And you lay down on the grass.

And you feel the grass all around you.

And you feel your body resting on the earth.

And you take a nice deep breath in and a complete breath out.

And with your next breath in and your next breath out,

You are back in your room in this space that you began,

In your body here and now.

Placing your hands on your heart,

Thank your guides and the messengers of light that came for you,

For teachings,

For inspiration,

For messages.

And wish them and yourself the blessings of loving kindness.

May we be well.

May we be happy.

May we all be free from suffering.

Breathing a nice big breath right into the center of your heart.

And letting that breath go.
