Transcript
Namaste.
Please begin by getting your body completely comfortable,
Laying in your bed or on the earth.
Taking any adjustments that you need here so that you can lay completely still throughout the practice.
Notice if you could get your body even 5% more comfortable,
Resting any pillows or props.
And then closing down the eyes.
Begin by noticing your breath.
Each exhalation,
Emptying of tension.
Each inhalation,
Filling with awareness and sensation.
Feeling letting the muscles melt into the support beneath your body.
Noticing sound,
The ears listening and how you can pick up on all of the different layers of sound.
Imagine feeling not only with your ears but the entire body becoming receptive.
Feel the touch of breath inside the nostrils.
The flow of air inside the nose.
Letting fragrance come to you.
Awareness migrating from the nose to the eyes.
Allowing the eyes completely to rest from the world of looking,
Seeing,
Taking in form.
Relaxing all of the muscles around the eyes,
Behind the eyes.
The whole visual cortex softening.
Each little micro muscle behind the eye.
And feeling the whole skin of the body.
Sensitive,
Receptive.
Imagining the skin becoming a little bit more porous as you breathe.
As if the whole body were breathing here.
Could you sense the touch of air on the skin?
Places of warmth,
Coolness?
Pressure points where the body meets the surface in which you can rest.
Allowing all five senses to open wide.
In yoga nidra we practice sankopa which is like an intention or a deep resolve,
A heart's desire.
When you can think of intention or sankopa like a seed.
A seed that you're planting in the subconscious mind to grow and blossom effortlessly.
Creating a sankopa for this practice.
Begin by sensing into the solar plexus.
Just above the navel.
Noticing what's needed here.
Manipura chakra.
In forming this sankopa you might notice,
Are there any ways in which you give your power away?
Do you see any of your past wounds or stories or beliefs as determining your self worth?
Or where do you need to take action or follow through on something?
You might form a sankopa around taking control of your own power.
Or taking responsibility for your own healing.
Or releasing external validation.
Forming your sankopa in the present tense.
Such as I transform shame into self acceptance and courage.
I take responsibility for my own healing.
Or I release external validation.
Or I take control of my own power.
Forming your sankopa now in the present tense and stating it three times mentally whispering.
Breathe.
And breathe deeper now.
Sensing the energy of the ground beneath your body.
Welcoming and affirming your sankopa with your whole entire body and mind.
Allowing this intention to be everywhere.
Affirming and experiencing your sankopa as true in this moment.
What does it feel like?
Feel the sensation radiating through your entire body.
And then giving thanks and letting it go.
And as you breathe,
Feeling the surface beneath your body,
The support.
Begin to imagine your drawing energy,
The vitality of the earth into the manipura chakra,
Into the solar plexus.
Breathing vitality of the earth into your shining lustrous gem.
Inviting that prana directly into your nucleus,
Into your center.
Breathe it in and release.
And as you feel that support of the ground,
Even now you can sense the warmth,
The heat of the sun on your skin.
Visualize your body basking in a ray of golden sunlight.
Sensing that light shining down on your whole body,
Feeling the warm glow on your face.
Imagine this light charging your solar plexus.
As you bask in this light,
Breathe that prana,
The life force of surya,
The sun into your core center.
You might imagine a microcosmic sun,
Saffron yellow,
Glowing in your solar plexus.
See it bathing in the color yellow,
Glowing in your core.
Notice any sensations you may have here.
As you breathe into this power center,
Activating your inner diamond of energy and radiance.
See and feel how the inhalation and exhalation are mirrored by the flow of the sun.
Day flows into night,
Night flows into day.
You're just sensing that energy of the rising sun,
The peak of daylight,
The setting sun,
The midnight darkness,
Welcoming the beauty of each phase.
Welcome the power of this transformative and fiery vortex,
Fire that creates the alchemical reaction that can take solid and fluid and turn them into gas,
Light,
Heat.
Feel that fire of transformation within yourself.
You might imagine now in your Manipura center,
Coals,
Embers from a fire glowing,
Radiating,
Becoming brighter with each inhalation,
Each breath that you take,
Feeding those embers in your core center.
Even now,
These embers represent your confidence,
Your autonomy,
Your decisiveness,
Your spontaneity,
Your willpower,
Your sense of responsibility,
Your ability to meet challenges,
To metabolize life,
Your courage,
Your dharma,
Your right livelihood,
And your ability to take right action.
As you breathe,
Giving life and energy to each ember,
See them glowing brighter and brighter,
Radiance emanating from your core.
Embers getting stronger and brighter with each inhalation.
Imagine yourself,
You becoming your own alchemist.
Where do you need to ignite?
The sacred fire of Manipura brings us the transformative lessons that teach us about autonomy and self-confidence.
Continue to breathe into this power center,
Knowing that a strong sense of self doesn't look to the outside world for validation.
True empowerment comes from the inside out.
As you breathe,
Pulling your power,
Validation,
And identity from the inside.
As you breathe into these embers,
See the fire ignite,
Burning away any of the ways in which you give your power away,
The ways in which you've searched for external validation,
Burning away any beliefs that you are not enough.
See any self-doubt transmuting,
Burning away in the fire,
Burning away shame,
Transmuting and releasing any need for external approval,
Letting go of the ways in which you've given your power away.
And as the fire burns,
Allow your self-confidence to arise from the flames,
From knowing who you truly are,
From this place deep in your center,
Your nucleus,
This place of contentment.
Breathing in spontaneity,
Breathing in self-esteem,
Breathing in a nourishing sense of purpose and livelihood.
As you breathe,
See yourself taking right action.
See yourself aligned with your Dharma,
Your service to this world.
See yourself lit up,
Radiant,
Inspired,
Passionate about life,
With a burning enthusiasm,
Living your Dharma.
Feel these parts of you becoming stronger.
Feel the generative force of Manipura Chakra,
The generative force of your will power.
The fire of your will steers you away from the path of least resistance,
From going with the flow of gravity.
The fire of the will moves you upward,
Transmuting energy,
In a distruring form,
And taking it into that new dimension of heat and light.
As you breathe,
Sensing light emanating from your core center and then visualize that light moving from your core into your heart center from heart to the right shoulder right elbow right forearm radiant with light wrist,
Palm of the hand thumb,
First finger second,
Third pinky finger radiant with light giving time for awareness to come back to your center,
The heart light moving,
Migrating into the left shoulder left elbow forearm wrist palm of the hand thumb,
First finger second,
Third pinky finger shimmering radiant with light bringing awareness back to your center moving down into the center of the pelvis center of the pelvic diaphragm radiant with light right hip knee ankle sole of the foot right big toe second third fourth pinky toe radiance with light giving time for awareness to move back into the center of the pelvis left hip knee ankle sole of the foot big toe second toe third fourth pinky toe radiance with light giving time for awareness to come back into the center of the pelvis right ankle saffron light glowing like the sun migrating up the spine back through your manipura center into the heart throat center inside the mouth right eye left eye center of the forehead crown of the head shimmering with light center of the head the pineal gland emanating glowing with light awareness of this light moving back down into the throat as you breathe welcoming these affirmations into your manipura chakra I am strong I am confident I am courageous I trust my gut instincts I hold all the power to manifest my dreams I take full responsibility for my thoughts,
My feelings,
And my actions I welcome opportunities for growth I am at peace with myself and the world around me I am a beacon of light I allow myself to shine for the next few breaths inhaling the mantra I am a beacon of light exhaling I allow myself to shine as you breathe welcoming the power of combustion in the body the agni,
The fire relates to metabolism inviting any guidance or wisdom to flow into your life to create a healthy metabolism in the psyche it relates to the spark of enthusiasm welcoming,
Care now,
Any guidance where do I need to ignite?
Guide me towards my right dharma my service,
My deepest truth welcoming the fire of transformation and knowing that the first step in breaking old patterns is overcoming inertia and once we get our fire going,
It burns more easily needing only to be stirred and fed occasionally continuing here to imagine,
You can sense the warmth of the sun and imagine that warmth,
That prana of the sun coalescing towards your center activating and empowering your metabolism sensing samana value as you draw that energy into your nucleus the fire of manipura asks us to notice where we need to temper and where do we need to ignite?
Empowering us to become our own alchemist taking a deep breath into that possibility another deep breath here in through the nose out through the mouth in through the nose letting it go continuing to feel the support of the earth beneath your body and you might rest here or you might begin to slowly awaken the body by deepening the breath beginning to sense the room around you thank you for practicing yoga nidra with me today if you'd like more recordings from me,

Namaste ππΌ Iβm in YNTT module five. For a long time I have felt like I had a energetic block or tangle in my solar plexus and this is the first practice that felt like it really released some of that. I will come back to it and keep feeling the sun feed the coals. During the rotation of consciousness I felt little flames coming out of each of my fingertips!
