A quick seated practice focusing on the breath, relaxing tension in the body and maintaining length in the spine. It's designed as a stepping stone toward a regular meditation practice, or a short moment of stillness within a busy day.

And would move Find a comfortable seat.

Bring awareness to the base of your spine.

With your next inhale,

Follow your spine all the way up out the crown of your head as if your head is an extension of your spine.

Tuck your chin.

Place your right hand on your heart,

The left hand on your belly.

On your next exhale,

Soften your shoulders.

On the elbows,

Soften your fingers.

On your next inhale,

Fill up your belly.

Exhale,

Belly draws into spine.

Inhale fill the belly.

Exhale belly to spine.

Inhale fill.

Exhale belly to spine.

Two more on your own.

With the next inhale,

Fill up the belly and then fill the chest.

When you exhale,

Empty chest,

Empty belly.

Again,

Inhale,

Fill belly,

Fill chest.

Exhale empty chest,

Empty belly.

Three more on your own.

With the next breath,

Release control of breath.

Release the hands down to the knees.

Inhale,

Fill the belly.

Exhale,

Fill belly.
