For when you're feeling like you're really stepping into control and you're grabbing the wheel again,
This can be your daily alignment.
This can be here for any time you need to return back to trust and let God help you carry it.
You don't got to carry it alone anymore.
So go ahead and get in a cozy position whatever that looks like for you today.
Maybe you want to sit upright,
Maybe you want to lay down,
Maybe somewhere in between.
Finding what feels best.
The key to safety is comfort.
So that starts with the physical body.
Get a blanket,
Turn on your heater or put on the fan and then just start softening.
I always like to begin with a little bit of movement.
So where in your body could you use a stretch?
Could you use some breath?
Your body will tell you,
Your body will guide you.
Finding that spot or areas and giving it some presence.
And if it feels safe today you can close down your eyes.
Sometimes when we're in a what I call the God forgot me state,
The dorsal state,
It can feel scary to close our eyes or it'll bring us into deeper dysregulation.
So honoring wherever you're at today but at least having a soft gaze down at the floor.
And really begin to lean into the support of the chair,
Of the wall,
Of your bed,
Of the sand,
Of the grass.
And begin to feel the sensation of being held.
Imagine God's hands just holding you.
All of your weight you can fully drop.
You don't have to hold anything by yourself anymore.
And as you drop in deeper,
Continue to breathe to the bottom of your belly,
Exhaling out through your mouth.
This can help to shift your nervous system into an even deeper relaxation.
And the more peace we feel,
The more of God's presence we can experience.
And really notice what's starting to shift.
As we bring presence and awareness,
As we slow down,
Things automatically just start naturally changing.
Maybe you actually physically feel your body softening.
Maybe you feel your breath deepening.
And allowing yourself to be in that princess relaxation of just being God's perfect daughter.
He just wants you to relax.
So I invite you to stop looking for the right answers,
The configurations,
The solutions,
The way,
Needing to know,
Ping-ponging between the anxious thoughts,
Worries,
And doubts.
And instead just decide in this moment to receive what is here.
Without making any stories,
Without solving it,
Just being with it.
When we're slipping into a state of control,
This means we feel out of control somewhere in our body.
So noticing that there might be some loud sensations speaking to you in this moment.
And that's okay,
They just are trying to get your attention.
They just want you to look at them and to see them.
So as you start to bring your awareness to your body,
To these parts,
Know that God is here holding it with you.
I am here holding it with you.
And whatever you are going through,
Whatever you are experiencing,
Nothing is too big for God.
And also feel the gratitude that He is always right by your side.
He never leaves.
He is there 24-7,
365.
Maybe this brings a deeper level.
Maybe this brings another layer of softness.
And let that come in.
Invite that in.
That relief.
Just bringing more and more moments of physical sensation of relief into the body.
And as we grow our capacity for safety,
That grows our ability to hold more sensation.
So do not be afraid of what you're feeling.
Do not be afraid of what you start to experience in your body.
Instead,
Bring genuine curiosity.
Okay,
Wow,
I feel a sharp pain in my right foot and I feel knots in my belly and maybe my throat is closing or a bit of pulling in my left shoulder.
Feels a little uncomfortable,
But I am safe right now.
I'm not actually being harmed.
And feel how you can notice these sensations and still feel peace.
Still feel protected.
Still feel safe,
No matter the circumstance.
And maybe that doesn't feel achievable in this moment.
That's okay.
But this is where we can use our imagination.
Imagine if you could fully let go right now.
Imagine if you could fully relax for a few seconds.
What would that look like?
What would that feel like?
Not forcing,
Just genuine curiosity.
Being open to the possibilities.
Take these next few breaths and start to hand over the weight of your worries to God.
Hand over the heaviness of the responsibility to God.
You can physically take your hands and offer it up to God.
You can maybe shake your body.
Intuitively feel what your body wants in this moment.
What God is guiding you to do.
And then see how God's hands are just coming so graciously to take your pain,
To take your shame,
To take your worries,
To take your fears with open hands.
He wants to carry it.
He wants to support you.
He's been waiting for you to give it to Him.
How lucky are we that we have such a gracious and unconditionally loving Heavenly Father?
And say,
God help me hold this.
Please help me carry this weight.
I can't do it anymore.
I need you.
And feel your body and your heart start to soften.
Feel the lightness coming back through your body.
The aliveness of having space to not be so weighed down.
To not having to figure it out.
To not be hyper vigilant.
And feel pleasure.
Maybe start to enter into new spaces.
Love.
Start to go into the tiny cracks that haven't felt love before.
Feel the walls around your heart coming down.
And maybe there's still parts of your heart that feel very armored.
That feel protected.
And meet those walls.
Meet those parts that may feel a little closed or hardened.
And go up to them and give them a hug.
And just stand there and look at them with awe.
With kindness.
With the sweetest eyes.
Not judging.
Not shaming.
Not wanting them to be different.
Not frustration.
Just awe of this pain that you've been carrying.
Awe of the pain that it's been carrying.
The weight that it's had to hold up.
The full-time job it's had to protect you.
And kindly asking this part,
Is there anything you want me to know right now?
Is there anything you want to tell me?
I'm open to hear,
To listen,
To be with you.
And just gently wait and receive.
This part might share in thoughts.
It might share with feelings.
It might share with visualizations.
You might just have an inner knowing.
Welcome anything that comes.
Again,
You don't need to make sense of it.
Just receive it.
Now if this is a new skill of communicating with your body and with God,
Sometimes you don't hear anything.
And even when we do know our bodies and God,
Sometimes we don't hear anything.
And that is okay.
Don't force.
That could be what you need today.
It's just being with the silence without freaking out.
And the practice is to continue to show up.
And the safety and the trust with your body and God will build so that you can hear more,
Feel more.
And you can also ask God,
Can you speak a little bit louder?
I want to hear you more clearly.
For those receiving messages,
Just validate whatever experience your parts are expressing to you.
Tell them that must be so hard to carry that.
I would be exhausted too.
Of course you feel that way.
Any validation that that part needs,
Just meet them with that.
No matter what they're saying,
No matter if it makes logical sense,
It doesn't matter.
What matters is that you're being with them.
Let them have grace.
And if you're having a hard time accessing grace,
Say,
God,
Help me give this pain,
Give this fear,
Give this shame,
The grace.
I don't have enough grace in myself.
So please lend me some of your grace.
And not from a place of fixing,
But just from a place of genuinely wanting it to feel accepted,
Wanting it to feel okay as it is.
Wanting it to feel support even in the pain.
And often when we meet these parts with this softness,
They start to soften.
Maybe your body is starting to physically open.
And when your body is open,
You are a clear vessel for God's wisdom.
So you might begin to hear God more clearly now.
You might begin to have some revelations come through.
You might feel him penetrating your heart with peace.
And saying,
God,
I'm here.
Use me.
Fill me up with the Holy Spirit.
Guide me,
Lead me.
Tell them you no longer want to be the problem solver.
I no longer want to be holding all of this.
I no longer want to be figuring it all out.
I just want you to show me the way.
Just tell me what the next step is.
Tell me whatever you want me to do.
Knowing that I can trust you no matter the circumstances.
Knowing that you've got the best plan for me.
And that I will be okay because I've got you.
And if there's parts of you that feel uncomfortable giving up this responsibility,
Giving up this identity of being exhausted,
That's okay.
Also bring that to God.
Vulnerability is the key here.
And then thanking him for being so good,
So kind,
So ready to serve you and provide for you any moment you need him.
That is a miracle that we have access to that level of support at any time.
So bring your thanksgiving,
Bring your gratitude to him.
What is hot on your heart that you want to thank him for?
Even just being able to breathe,
To listen,
To hear,
To speak,
To feel.
What can you give him thanks for right now?
And then asking God,
Show me how safe it is to continue to trust you,
To let you guide me.
That he even gave you a physical man to protect you or is bringing a husband that's going to always keep you safe.
Keep allowing your heart to soften more and more as you transfer that weight of control off of your body.
And allowing the passenger princess posture to restore in your system,
To let peace be your new baseline,
To let trust be,
To let trust be so embodied that it feels safe,
That it feels good,
That it feels natural.
That being in the passenger seat doesn't mean that life is going to spin out of control.
Doesn't mean that you have to sit there with fear and confusion and worry.
But you know that God is leading every moment of your life.
That he wants you to feel relaxed as you move through challenges,
As hard moments come up because they're going to continue to come up.
To just keep leaning on the resource of God.
He chose you and he loves you.
Start to move your body again,
Slowly,
Gently.
And as you open your eyes,
Take a moment to look around the room.
Notice the colors.
Breathing in the air.
And feel what it feels like to be present.
Plain and simply a gift that we often take for granted or not even experiencing because we're so much trying to predict the future.
We're often in prevention of disasters happening in the future or reliving horrible things from the past.
So enjoy this presence.
Come back to this meditation as often as you need.
And thank you again for being here.
