The feeling of overwhelm, being triggered, reactive, frozen, numb or any activated/ dissociative state can be really hard to navigate. When we are learning how to regulate our nervous systems and expand our capacity to feel it all (what's known as growing your window of tolerance), it can really help to have support through it.
