So I've been moving through a six-month breathwork facilitator training and it has been overflowing with incredible techniques and frameworks and ways of teaching and being present and all the things.
There's one incredibly simple technique that I keep coming back to day after day after day and I really want to share that with you.
Now it's so simple that you may even dismiss it,
But I encourage you to listen and maybe give it a try.
So all it comes down to is simply taking a moment to pause.
And asking yourself two questions.
How do I feel and what do I need?
What you may start to notice is when you ask yourself these questions and you really tune into your body sensations,
Emotions,
Wants,
Needs,
Feelings,
A whole other level of presence begins to open up and that kind of flows and can affect the rest of your day in such a positive manner because you're fully aware of how you're moving through it and not so much reacting to things that are around you but instead responding,
Staying in your center,
Knowing how you feel and what you need in each moment.
So let's try it together now.
You can close your eyes if you want.
And healthy please.
And exhale completely.
And then ask yourself.
How do I feel?
Now you don't need to search for an answer or try and pull something out of thin air,
You know,
This could be an emotion,
It could be a feeling,
A sensation,
Maybe you even notice nothingness or numbness,
That's okay too.
To sit with whatever comes up for you.
And now,
Ask yourself,
What do I need?
This could be anything from a cup of tea or a glass of water or a walk in the woods or making a phone call to someone or an email.
It could be to start doing something or stop doing something.
Just allow whatever comes up to be there too.
What do I need?
Good and now release the practice and I encourage you to try this again tomorrow or maybe the day after.
Just store it in your toolbox of techniques to return to maybe when you feel overwhelmed or disconnected or like you need a little extra support.
Come back to these two questions and watch how it shifts how you feel and how you move through your day.
Have a beautiful day.
