And we'll start with a bell to just bring all of our attention here to this present moment.
And if you feel comfortable to close your eyes and settle in.
We'll start by listening to the rain and just focusing on our breath.
Just feeling open to receive the sounds coming in from around you.
Notice how you can hear your breathing with nice long,
Slow,
Deep breaths.
Feel the air as it enters your body,
As it expands in your chest.
And feeling some gratitude for the life force energy that rides on that wind that we breathe in through the air.
Being thankful for the clean air and the oxygen traveling through our bodies.
And as you breathe out,
Noticing the difference in temperature.
The air when it enters your body might feel cool and upon exit it's a little warmer.
And with each breath you can relax into this present moment a little bit more by softening the muscles in your face and relaxing your shoulders.
Letting a wave of relaxation and calm just blanket over you from the top of your head,
Down across your face and your shoulders,
Down your chest and back and arms.
Sinking a little deeper into yourself,
Feeling how comfortable your seat is underneath you and how you're supported from beneath.
Continue to breathe deeply and fully and call all the parts of you back from time and space into this grounded,
Present moment.
Be aware of your hips and how grounded it feels to be sitting and supported.
And your legs relax a little bit more.
Send some gratitude to those legs and feet that walked you all over your day today and brought you here.
Just to sit and be present.
Continue to allow your body to just melt a little bit deeper and start to sink a little bit more into the floor.
And in your mind's eye you can imagine a root starting to grow from the base of your spine.
Through the floor,
Sending your energy down towards the earth.
The intention to anchor here in this present moment.
Just allowing what is.
And imagine that root is growing and anchoring you and grounding you down through the layers of the earth.
Through the topsoil and through the layers of rock and earth.
Stretching wide to connect to the circle of beloved souls that are sitting around you.
Allowing our sense of community to intertwine.
Our roots are stronger when we can connect.
To each other.
And we're connecting down to Mother Earth,
Pachamama,
As a source of nourishment and grounding.
Imagining that your roots are growing deeply and also stretching far and wide.
Rooting you to the land,
To a sense of home,
To earth's family.
Imagining all the people in the city,
In the state,
Even in the continent that are meditating right now and grounding themselves down.
Connecting to this same network of roots that we are connecting with right now.
Just like the mycelium connecting for miles and miles,
We can also feel our grounded connection to friends and family and loved ones anywhere on earth.
And we're connecting to a sense of loving community like the aspen trees that all share their root network.
We're like the one-legged tree people that are antennas of Mother Earth,
All grounded and connected in one family.
And let's send our gratitude from our hearts down through those roots.
Being grateful for our Earth Mother.
Sending gratitude down for a community,
For our families and our friends.
And allowing it to be a giving and a receiving,
Knowing that Pachamama is grateful for us and that our family and community and friends are grateful for each and one of us.
I want you to imagine who in your life is grateful for you,
For all the ways that you show up,
For all the ways that you just are being you,
Bringing joy and love to this planet.
I want you to bring to mind one thing in your life that you're grateful for and allow it to be like a seed planted in your heart.
We're going to build a tree of gratitude from the roots up into the trunk.
This is where your heart is.
You are the stable,
Heart-centered,
Beautiful core of this gorgeous tree.
So sending your love to something you're grateful for and letting it feel like an expansion in your chest and your whole body,
Kind of vibrating with this beauty of gratitude.
We're going to practice some radical gratitude right now.
Choosing something that's challenging in your life that you feel kind of sticky with or you get a flush of emotion that feels uncomfortable.
Maybe it's a person or a situation or something that happened.
We're going to send love to that challenge and being grateful that it's part of our wholeness,
Of our experience.
Just staying rooted in your gratitude,
Knowing that everything is perfectly imperfect,
That we can still love it anyways and still hold compassion and kindness for ourselves and for the challenges.
As you incorporate that gratitude,
It's almost like a new branch sprouts from your tree and you can grow up and out your arms,
Your shoulders,
Your heart,
Your head and create a tree of life out of your body.
Recognizing that each branch might be a phase of your life or a piece of your experience or a person or a place.
As you send gratitude up through your branches,
You start to see the buds and the blossoms and the leaves and maybe some branches are smaller or older and dead and ready to fall off.
Maybe there's new growth you've never noticed before.
Just allow yourself to feel those roots and that stable trunk through your heart center reaching up and really blossoming out towards as many things,
People and situations as you can be grateful for.
There's a petal or a blossom or a leaf emerging from your beautiful tree of life.
Just like the rain is falling down on the earth here today,
It is cleansing and clearing away anything in your tree that needs purification,
Blessing and all the way down to your roots,
Deeply nourishing.
We're going to imagine that this rain is droplets of energy from spirit,
From the highest vibrational energy surrounding this planet.
We call upon the divine and the blessings and the love to shower down upon your beautiful tree of life like sparkling,
Glistening,
Radiant droplets of light.
Everywhere one of those droplets touch just gets illuminated and more radiant and absorb in all that beauty and nourishment.
Maybe some of your leaves and flowers cup the rain and catch it for the animals,
The birds.
You become this life-giving ecosystem surrounded by beauty.
You might even notice this swirling of energy,
The life that is growing out of your tree,
The life that you're calling in more beautiful experiences,
More loving connections.
Allow your tree to become like a magnetic vortex to this beautiful existence that you can foresee for yourself just blossoming even more.
Calling in some spirit animal support,
Some pollinators,
Some messages from the divine.
As you collect all of this wisdom,
Information,
Blessings,
Gratitudes,
I want you to bring them back into your heart.
You might even want to put your hands on your heart and feel the fullness of all that you've created in your vortex of beauty,
Your energy field.
It's just overflowing with life,
An abundance of gratitude,
Love.
Knowing that your hands are an extension of your heart,
You can just place them there and send that love back around like this beautiful circuit,
Like a circle of love within your own body.
We're going to honor that heart that has an infinite capacity to hold all of life's experiences,
The good ones,
The fun ones,
The challenging ones,
The sad ones.
Your heart is strong,
Your heart is wise,
And your heart contains all the love that you need.
You can fill up your own cup by connecting within.
We're going to bring our heart's awareness back into the room with all the other beautiful heart trees surrounding us in this circle.
Reaching our branches out to tickle each other's leaves,
Enjoying the community of us together here under the rain,
Rooted here together.
When you feel like you're ready to come back,
You can start to sway your tree,
Feeling how rooted and grounded you still are.
You might want to wiggle your fingers and toes to wake them up and bring them back into presence.
When you feel ready to open your eyes,
Just allowing there to be a soft gaze at the flowers there in the center of the room,
And we'll close with a bell.
