Welcome to Day 11 of Insight Timer's Reset & Refresh Challenge. Today's session with Alex Elle examines the essential role of alignment in our quest for well-being and happiness as we step into 2024. Welcome to Day 11 of Insight Timers Reset and Refresh Challenge.

Your call to break free from the ordinary,

Let go of what's been holding you back,

And step into your life with a fresh perspective.

Let's jump in to today's session.

Today we're going to be talking about the power of alignment and finding harmony within.

This topic feels really crucial for me as we walk into 2024,

Because our overall well-being and happiness is rooted in alignment.

Over the past few days we've talked about feeling seen,

We've meditated on feeling loved,

And also being heard in our lives.

So I want to pose this question.

Have you ever experienced a moment when everything just seemed to fall into place?

I know we can often think about what is going wrong,

But I want to invite us to ground down into the moments when things were going right,

When things were feeling deeply in sync and aligned with ourselves and the world around us.

This is the feeling we're going to be exploring today.

What makes us feel aligned?

So if you have your journals,

Go ahead and write down that question.

What makes me feel aligned?

Alignment is a state of being for me.

It's a state of living in harmony with myself,

My values,

Goals,

And the world around me.

It's a feeling of being centered and balanced,

Like everything is flowing with ease.

Not always or every moment of the day,

But more times than not,

When I am feeling rooted in alignment,

So many other moving parts have clicked into place.

When we are aligned,

We get to experience a sense of purpose and fulfillment,

And that can have a profound impact on our lives.

The next thing that alignment brings to the forefront for me is authenticity and self-awareness.

What about you?

What does alignment bring to the forefront of your life?

One of the key components of alignment is standing in our true self,

At least in my opinion.

It starts with being honest about where we are and having a deep understanding of who we are,

Without shame,

Without guilt,

And without shrinking because others don't understand our true self.

Self-awareness plays a vital role in our process of finding deep aligned energy.

It takes the time to reflect on your values,

Your passions,

And your strengths.

When you align your actions and choices with your true self,

You naturally feel more connected.

So I'm curious,

What connections are starting to piece themselves together for you?

Or what connections would you like to come to fruition in 2024?

As we think about those things,

Another really valuable element of this alignment practice for me is setting clear intentions and goals.

When we have a sense of purpose and direction,

I feel like we're more likely to make choices that lead us toward alignment.

We're more likely to set boundaries and honor them,

Not only wanting those around us to honor our boundaries,

But we are the boundary keepers,

Which for me,

Alignment plays such a huge role in my boundary setting.

So when you think about taking this path toward your true alignment,

Keep in the center of your heart the goals that you have,

The intentions that you have,

The balance or harmony that you want to create.

This can be personal,

Professional,

Or even spiritual.

All of these things can act as a compass guiding us on our journey toward the alignment we are seeking.

As we all know,

Mindfulness and presence are powerful tools that help us in our lives.

In this fast-paced world,

It is easy to get caught up in chaos and distractions.

However,

Our mindfulness practice can keep us centered and on the right track,

Even if we stray from time to time,

Because we're human and we will.

As we bring our attention to the present moment,

We can be fully aligned with where we want to go and how we want to get there.

We can better connect with ourselves,

And we can foster this sense of deep connection with others.

So let's think about that for a second.

What mindfulness practice allows you to stay centered and aligned in your life?

Or what do you want to come to fruition through your mindfulness and presence practice this year?

Community care,

For me,

Is major.

And so when I think about alignment,

I often think about cultivating positive relationships.

This contributes to the alignment and quality of our lives.

Surrounding ourselves with supportive,

Positive people who share our values and our aspirations can greatly enhance our sense of direction in life.

Keeping close to folks who make us feel seen,

Safe,

Supported,

Heard,

Held,

And comforted,

It helps provide this sense of belonging and understanding that is essential for the alignment of our well-being.

So if you have your journals out,

I'd like to ask you,

Jot down a few names that come to mind that leave you feeling this way.

Aligned.

Loved.

Seen.

Heard.

As we bring today's reflections to a close,

I want to remind you that alignment is not just this fleeting feeling of happiness.

It is a state of being that can positively impact every aspect of our lives if we allow it.

By embracing authenticity,

Setting clear intentions,

Being mindful about how we're moving in the world,

And creating and curating positive relationships in our lives,

We can all work towards feeling more aligned.

So I want to encourage each of you to take some time to really think about what makes you feel aligned in your life,

And what actions can you take to pursue those aspects of alignment.

When you do this,

You'll find that you can experience more joy and purpose.

This year,

For me,

Is all about spaciousness.

Having the space to feel loved,

To feel seen,

To feel aligned,

And to feel heard.

I found the prompts really helped me to visualize what it would look and feel like to be fully living in alignment. Perfect amount of space is given between each prompt for reflection. I would love to know the title and artist of the background music as it is incredibly beautiful and moving.
