As the moon Deity, Canda is 'swallowed' by the evil demon Rahu during an eclipse, so our mind can be obscured by dark states of anxiety and depression. If we take refuge in the Buddha as Canda did, the forces of darkness can not hold us down, and our minds will emerge and shine bright and radiant again.
