The Lord's Prayer in Aramaic, as traditionally recited, begins with "Abun d'bashmayya" (Our Father in Heaven) and continues with phrases that reflect themes of divine reverence and unity. The prayer is often translated to emphasize spiritual and cosmic dimensions, such as "O cosmic Birther" in some interpretations, highlighting a more inclusive and universal understanding of God. Singers posted by Joseph Royan C.Ss.R - ... "Our Father prayer in Aramaic. Aramaic is the language spoken by Jesus. We are fortunate to have the Lord's Prayer not only in the original language but also Sung so beautifully in the original language. Listen and be blessed by this most powerful prayer of Jesus." The Lord's Prayer in Aramaic,

Translated into Contemporary English,

As taught by Jesus O Creator,

Source of all life and light,

Father,

Mother of the Universe,

Let your light shine within us,

Make it practical and guiding,

Like a beacon that illuminates the way.

Unite our will with yours,

So we act in harmony with all creation.

Let your vision of heaven manifest here on earth,

Through our thoughts,

Our words.

Provide what we need each day,

Both physical sustenance and spiritual wisdom.

Help us release the burdens of our past mistakes,

Just as we forgive others for theirs.

Keep us focused on what truly matters.

Protect us from distractions and harmful choices.

You are our Creator,

Our Source.

The Source of all power,

All creativity and beauty,

That renews life eternally.

I had an impulse and a strong pull to drop on my knees and pray. So I looked up prayers. I searched until I found Aramaic version. That’s when it really clicked. Words are magical and ring in my head bringing some memories/visions (that do not belong to me) and feelings. I tried to meditate on that - all I got was words: “how could you do this to me? I will come for you! There are many of them. Phytons. Yogi. Gods will punish you”. And feelings of betrayal, anger, despair. So I don’t know what this prayer REALLY meant at those ancient times. ..
