Pause the busyness of life and join me in savoring Scottish scenery. This audio will gently guide you to sink into imagery that will whisk you away to a beautiful corner of the world that I currently call home. There are brief invitations to breathe, ground, and connect with your body at the beginning and end of the track. This audio can be used anytime during the day that you would like to take a break, wind down, or exhale. Find a cosy spot to sink into and enjoy a Scottish woodland forest with me! Pause at any time to extend your time with the imagery. Choose from *free* ambient noises to pair with this audio if you’d like background sound behind my voice. Please note that this and all other tracks by this author are not intended to be used in place of professional mental health services.

I invite you to join me in one of my favorite places in Scotland,

Taking a nice deep breath,

Sinking into the space,

Taking a moment to imagine putting anything on a shelf that you don't want to have taking your focus right now,

Knowing that life will be waiting for you on the other side of this audio,

And for the next few minutes,

You get to simply savor and sink into this imagery that I'll describe as I take you along with me for a few minutes in this sweet place.

A nice gentle inhale and exhale.

You can close your eyes if that feels comfortable,

Imagining that you're sitting on a tree stump along a path in a forest.

There's a rushing river on the other side of you.

It's flowing fast from a lot of rain the last couple of days,

But today it's dry,

The sky is clear,

And the sun is setting,

Creating almost a little bit of magic in the air,

Almost like a misty gold in the distance.

Across from the river on the other side of the path,

You see large stones almost creating a wall.

There are trees growing in and through the stones with roots that almost look like they're clawing on for dear life,

But that are sturdy and settled,

Having found a way to live,

Found a way to the nourishment that they need,

Found a way to anchor in these trees.

Around the trees are strands and strands of green ivy,

Almost like countless necklaces that have been draped down over these rocks around the tree trunks,

Interlacing around bright green ferns that are shooting out.

There's also patches of holly,

There's sharp little leaves nestled in under the blue sky above,

All together creating a canopy of green,

Almost as if it's hugging and holding the space.

On the ground beneath you,

There's moss on either side of the path,

Almost like a vibrant green carpet that looks so soft.

There's stones poking up in some places through the moss.

And the path beneath is a deep brown,

Rich from the water that has permeated the soil and the stones.

Along with the rushing water,

You hear birds above in the trees.

And across the riverbank,

You see sprinkles of snow drops,

Little white flowers that look like drops of snow,

Creating almost their own carpet on the ground.

The sun continues to gently get lower and lower,

Almost as if it's beckoning the whole forest to sleep.

You are welcome to spend as much time in this imagery as you would like to.

And at this time,

You can press pause if you'd like to sink into the cozy green.

Whenever you're ready,

We'll take a few moments,

Shifting back into the present.

Gently wiggling your toes,

Circling your ankles and wrists,

Stretching out your arms,

Arching your back and lengthening your spine.

Opening and closing your jaw,

Gently turning your head as if you're shaking yes and no.

And before you open your eyes,

Just taking a brief moment,

Maybe placing a hand over your heart or your abdomen,

And letting yourself reflect and savor something that felt especially rich,

Something that you'd like to carry with you into the rest of your day and the rest of your week.

And whenever you're ready,

You can invite one last gentle inhale and exhale.

Open your eyes and enjoy the rest of your day.
