"Where darkness was I look upon the light." This lesson emphasizes the shift in perception that occurs as we awaken to our true nature. It teaches that the darkness we perceive is our own imagining, while the light of truth is always present for us to see. We are encouraged to forgive the world, recognizing that what we see reflects our own holiness. It also highlights that Christ's vision transforms darkness into light, as fear dissipates when love arrives. By choosing to see with this new perception, we align ourselves with the reality of God's holy world and our own divine nature All quotes are from A Course in Miracles, copyright ©2007, Third Edition used with permission from the publisher and copyright holder, the Foundation for Inner Peace, 448 Ignacio Blvd., #306, Novato, CA 94949.

A Course in Miracles Lesson 302 Where darkness was,

I look upon the light.

A new holy world awaits us as our sight is finally restored and we can't see.

Father,

We thought we suffered,

But we had forgot the child whom you created.

Father,

Now we see that darkness is our own imagining.

Father,

Now we see that light is there for us to look upon.

Christ's vision changes darkness into light.

Fear must disappear when love has come.

Father,

Let me forgive your holy world today,

That I may look upon the world's holiness and understand the world's holiness but reflects my own.

Our love awaits us as we go to God.

Christ walks beside us,

Showing us the way.

Christ fails in nothing.

Our Father,

Our Source,

Is the end we seek.

Father,

Christ is the means by which we go to God.

Christ awaits me as my sight is finally restored and I can see.

Father,

We thought we suffered,

But I had forgot the child whom you created.

Father,

Now we see that darkness is my own imagining.

Father,

Now I see that light is there for me to look upon.

My love awaits me as I go to God.

Christ walks beside me,

Showing me the way.

Father,

Christ fails in nothing.

My Father,

My Source,

Is the end I seek.

Christ is the means by which I go to God.

Where darkness was,

I look upon the light.

Unreal exists.

Herein lies the peace of God.
