A Course in Miracles Lesson 214 Review Lesson 194 I place the future in the hands of God.
The past is gone.
The future is not yet.
Now I am free from both.
For what God gives can only be for good.
And I accept what God gives as what belongs to me.
In this meditation,
Nothing is required except a deep relinquishment of everything that clutters our mind.
Quieting our mind gives us freedom.
I will wait while you still your mind,
Relax your body,
And prepare for meditation.
Give these times of silence to your inner teacher,
Your higher self,
Who instructs in quiet,
Who speaks of peace.
Give these times of silence to the teacher who gives your thoughts whatever meaning they may have.
Permit no idle thought to go unchallenged.
If you notice an idle thought,
Assure your mind that this thought is not what your mind would have.
Then,
Gently replace the thought.
Say to your mind,
This thought I do not want.
I choose instead all things are lessons God would have me learn.
I place the future in the hands of God.
Now as we move into our higher self,
Say to yourself,
Say in your mind,
I am not a body,
I am free.
I place the future in the hands of God.
The past is gone,
The future is not yet.
Now I am freed from both.
What God gives can only be for good,
And I accept what God gives as what belongs to me.
Ponder on this.
We give these times of silence to our inner teacher,
Our higher self,
Who instructs in quiet,
Who speaks of peace.
We give these times of silence to our teacher who gives our thoughts whatever meaning they may have.
Our silence will arise as we put aside all we think we know.
Our silence will arise as we put aside all that we think we understand.
This thought I do not want.
I choose instead,
I place the future in the hands of God.
The past is gone,
The future is not yet.
Now I am freed from both.
What God gives can only be for good.
I accept what God gives belongs to me.
I am not a body,
I am free.
I am still as God created me.
I place the future in the hands of God.
Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God.
