Welcome,
Friend.
This is a cord cutting meditation.
It can be used to help you separate your energy from another person when that cord or connection is no longer serving your highest good.
It's important that you enter this cord cutting process when you are in a place of calm,
Centered in your own power,
And not do it from a place of pain or anger.
So if you feel calm and at peace and ready to release this energy connection,
I invite you to find a place where you can be comfortable.
You can do this meditation sitting or lying down and start by simply closing your eyes and taking a few nice deep breaths.
If it feels good to you,
I recommend placing one hand over your heart and the other over your stomach or solar plexus and breathing I'll invite you to bring this person to mind,
This person that you feel that you have an energy cord connected to.
And we form energy cords to a great variety of people.
This could be a parent or an ex or even somebody who has crossed over.
Just bringing them into your mind's eye now.
And really try to see them on a soul level.
Seeing past,
Their humaneness,
Their flaws,
Their struggles,
Really connecting with them on a soul level.
As you do this,
You can imagine yourself in this space with them.
You can see or visualize this cord of energy.
Now as you both are standing here together,
Seeing each other soul to soul,
Seeing this cord of energy,
I want you to feel or visualize both of you surrounded by your angels and spirit guides,
All those who are here for your highest good today.
Feel yourself loved,
Protected and guided.
Just as this other person is loved,
Protected and guided.
Now with your hands still on your heart,
Feel as much love and compassion for yourself as you can.
Knowing that within the context of this relationship or interaction,
That you were doing the best that you could at any given moment,
Given the tools that you had at the time.
Reminding yourself that everything unfolded the way that it was supposed to.
Feel your heart being filled with this beautiful,
Loving,
Compassionate energy.
And then when you are ready,
You can extend that love and compassion to this other person.
Reminding yourself that they,
Just like you,
Were always doing the best they could with the information they had at the time.
Really see if you can come into a place of compassion and gratitude for this person saying thank you.
Thank you for what you have given me,
For what you have shown me or taught me about myself and the world.
Thank you for the lessons learned.
See their heart space being filled with that beautiful,
Loving energy.
Now you can focus on the cord,
This energy connection between you.
And you can acknowledge for yourself that this cord of energy served you in some way in the past,
But that it is now time to release it,
Let it go.
It no longer serves.
Knowing that this will not only benefit you,
But this other person as well in the long term.
When you are ready,
You can choose your tool.
You have been given a tool to cut or sever this connection.
You look down in your hands,
Notice what you see.
Perhaps you have been given a sword or scissors or fire or any other element.
You get to choose what tool you want.
When you are ready,
You can say this person's name aloud or in your head and tell them,
Thank you for the lessons learned.
This portion of our soul contract is now complete.
I release you from my energy field now.
You can use your tool to sever the connection between you.
And as you watch and feel this cord being cut or dissolved,
You can recite,
I now release the ties that bind.
I now claim that which is mine,
Blessed be.
And so it is.
I invite you to take a few nice deep breaths,
Noticing or feeling how your energy field has shifted.
Now it is time to call back your energy.
Knowing that this cord cutting has been completed in love and in light.
And that all the energy that was being given to this person can now come back home.
Take a moment and visualize pulling your energy,
Your vital life force essence back into your body.
You can breathe this energy back in and exhale circulating this energy through the body.
Do several cycles of breath like this.
Inhaling,
Pulling your energy back in.
Exhaling,
Circulating this energy.
Continue to breathe like this for a few more moments.
Feeling centered,
Perhaps you feel light or free.
Just noticing what this experience has been like for you.
And honoring it.
Cord cutting can often be emotionally difficult.
Allow yourself the time and space to process and heal and integrate.
You can always repeat this meditation if you feel it's needed or use it in conjunction with a cord cutting ritual or a healing session.
So when you feel ready,
Start to bring your attention and awareness back into the space around you.
Wiggling fingers and toes.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes.
