Thank you for joining me for the art of breathing.
It's a mindful meditation practice.
You can begin to settle in,
Get into a comfortable position,
Seated or laying down.
Just beginning to relax,
Noticing any sensations in your body.
Take a moment to have a deep inhale through your nose and just exhaling through your mouth.
Try that one more time,
Expanding the space in your belly like a balloon as you inhale and exhale deeply.
And as you exhale,
Letting it all out.
You can begin to have a normal,
Steady breathing,
Noticing each breath as it moves in and each breath out.
Notice what it feels like in your body when you breathe in and when you breathe out.
Which parts of your body move as you breathe?
You might notice something pulls you away from observing your breath.
Maybe thoughts leap into your mind or a sound distracts you.
Each time this happens,
It's okay.
Bring your attention back to the breath,
Noticing how your body feels as you inhale and as you exhale.
Notice any sensations that come up.
Just breathing into these areas,
Softening them just a little bit with your breath.
Take a moment to just breathe in deeply through your nose again and letting it go out your mouth.
You can start to come back to the room.
Begin to roll your hands,
Your wrist,
Your shoulders,
Noticing any sounds.
You can start to flutter your eyes open,
Just noticing the sights that you see.
