Welcome to this meditation to help you let go of your day.
You can do this practice seated with a tall elegant spine or lying down.
The important thing is to find comfort and ease.
Gather any props that can assist you feeling a little bit more comfortable.
Pillows,
Blankets,
Something to put over your eyes.
Whatever you need.
Get any little movements out of the way.
Maybe rolling out your shoulders or finding some half neck circles and begin to bring your body into a place of complete stillness.
Closing down your eyes and taking a nice slow deep breath in through your nose and let it out through the mouth with a sigh or sound.
Allowing the full weight of your body to exhale to the earth.
Feeling the natural heaviness of your body just sinking downwards.
The support of the ground,
The earth underneath you.
Holding you up.
It's safe to let go.
Take another slow deep breath in through your nose and let it out through your mouth.
All the little muscles of the face soften.
The jaw releases.
You might want to do that one more time.
Filling up,
Filling up,
Filling up and releasing and just allowing your day to drop away.
Body sinking into the support underneath.
The mind dropping inwards.
Letting go of any sense of outward responsibilities.
Nothing you need to do and nowhere you need to be.
Just here,
Now.
This time is just for you.
Just letting your awareness move down towards your feet.
Resting your attention here and allowing your feet to relax completely.
Feeling your toes soften.
Your ankles.
Moving your awareness like a soft light up towards your shins and your calves.
Letting them grow heavy and upwards towards your knees and deep within the knee joints.
Letting your knees relax.
Moving the light of your awareness into your upper legs.
Letting them grow heavy with relaxation as they relax a little deeper.
And awareness continues to travel upwards into your hips and into the hip joints and the whole bowl of the pelvis.
The lower back.
Traveling up to the mid back.
Your upper back.
Softening through your shoulder blades.
The tops of your shoulders.
And then into your upper arms.
Your elbows.
The elbow joints.
The forearms and wrists.
Hands.
Feeling into your hands.
Allowing them to soften.
Each finger relaxed.
Awareness to a soft belly.
Effortless breath flowing in and out.
Awareness to center of your chest.
Expanding and softening.
Maybe even sense the subtle beating of your own tender heart.
Moving your awareness up towards your neck.
Allowing all the muscles around your neck to soften.
Feeling your head relax.
And any unnecessary tensions from the brain just draining out.
Softening the space between the eyes.
The temples.
The eyes themselves.
The backs of the eyes.
Cheeks.
And jaw.
Allow there to be a spacious feeling inside of your mouth.
And then let your awareness rest on the very top crown of your head.
Just above your scalp.
Softening the very top crown of your head.
And imagine a glorious white thousand petal lotus flower opening at your crown.
It's inviting in a deep sense of peace and well-being.
It's blossoming open.
Blossoming from the roots below.
And expanding outwardly.
And imagine a stream of well-being pouring into this beautiful lotus flower at the crown of your head.
And moving down.
Bathing the brain.
Moving down through your face.
Your neck.
Your shoulders and arms.
Pouring into your hands.
Well-being and peace moving from your neck to your chest.
Your chest to your belly.
Moving into your hips.
Spreading down through your legs.
Your ankles.
Your feet.
Your toes.
Whole body.
From feet to crown.
And crown to feet.
Bathed in relaxation.
In a feeling of peace and well-being.
Just resting here.
Allowing your body to memorize this feeling.
The more you practice coming back to this place of peace and calm.
This inner oasis of serenity.
The more you will remember your true divine nature.
Knowing that you can return here anytime.
Knowing this place of peace and calm is always within you.
Even when there is chaos and drama around you.
Please feel free to stay in this space for as long as you like.
Carry it with you.
Namaste.
