Hello friends,

This is a sleepy time meditation for dreamers.

Together we will go on a magical adventure before we drift off into a deep sleep.

Close your eyes and get cozy.

Take three deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Let your body start to relax and feel soft and heavy.

Imagine you're standing on the top of a hill.

You are warm from the glow of the setting sun.

The evening air is cool and crisp.

You see a big colorful bird sitting on top of a tree branch nearby.

The bird's feathers are shiny and bright.

The bird starts flapping its wings with excitement as you walk closer.

This is no ordinary bird.

The colorful bird invites you to take a magical ride with them this evening.

You're feeling brave so you climb gently onto the bird's back and feel the smooth shiny feathers.

The bird begins to fly up,

Up,

Up into the sky.

The playful breeze blows back your hair.

You look down and see the world beneath you getting smaller and smaller as you soar higher and higher.

You feel calm and excited to see the world from the sky.

The river beneath you turns into a skinny blue ribbon and the trees turn into a sea of green.

You take a big breath in and fill your lungs with fresh air.

You start to let go of the bird's feathers and stretch your arms out wide.

The fluffy white clouds around you feel as soft as marshmallows.

There's a dark rain cloud up ahead.

As you get closer you start to feel warm drops of water wash over your skin.

You tip your head back and catch a few drops of rain in your mouth.

It feels so good to bathe in the warm shower.

The sun is going down now and paints the sky an orange and purple on its way to bed before disappearing into the night sky.

You catch a glimpse of the moon peeking up from behind the mountains.

The moon's gentle glow starts to grow like a night light in the sky.

The dark sky is full of twinkling stars shining bright like tiny little fireflies.

You and the colorful bird are feeling ready for sleepy time now.

The bird lands in a big grassy field and thanks you for coming along on a magical adventure.

You give the bird a big hug and then you lay down in a comfortable patch of grass to gaze at the starry night sky.

You pick a star,

The brightest one you see,

And you make a wish,

Whispering it into the night.

And you believe with all your heart that your wish will come true.

Your body is relaxed and tired.

Your eyelids are growing heavy.

You feel safe and at peace.

You feel proud of yourself for being brave enough to join the colorful bird on a magical adventure.

You repeat to yourself,

I am brave.

I am kind.

I am loved.

I am brave.

I am kind.

I am loved.

With each quiet breath,

You float further into the land of dreams.

Slowly start to let your imagination fade.

Feel the warmth of your bed beneath you,

The gentle rise and fall of your breath.

Drift off to sleep knowing that you are brave,

Kind,

And loved just as you are.

Sweet dreams,

Little adventurer.
