This is a meditation for creativity.
Find a comfortable seat and let's begin.
I used to believe that only a special select group of people were creative.
They were artists,
Musicians,
Dancers,
Writers,
But of course everyone has the ability to create and be creative.
The more we expand our intuitive sense of the world and shed our ego and self-judgments,
The more the creative energy will flow.
Inspiration comes when we make ourselves available.
When we slow down and are unoccupied,
We create space for new ideas to emerge.
This is why great ideas come to us when we're in the shower or walking in nature.
Inspiration comes when we're open and available.
You already have everything you need within you to create.
It is there,
Waiting to be brought to life.
You can tap into infinite possibilities for creativity.
So let's begin.
Start to shift your awareness to your body.
Begin to notice your breath.
Breathe in through your nose and sigh out your mouth.
Notice your forehead,
Your jaw.
Soften your shoulders and your belly.
Let yourself find rest in this comfortable,
Quiet space.
Bring to mind a time when you felt beautifully creative.
Hold that moment,
That image,
In mind.
That creativity is in you.
It was there in that beautiful,
Creative moment,
And it is still present today.
Choose a word or an image that represents this beautifully creative moment.
Think of this as your personal creative affirmation.
You can come back to it at any point when you need a reminder of your unique,
Creative brilliance.
Take a few slow breaths as you continue to hold your creative affirmation in mind.
Now bring to mind something new that you want to create or somewhere in your life you desire fresh perspective or creative energy.
It could be a work of art,
A project,
Or a problem you're trying to solve.
Choose a word or image that represents this new creative desire.
Hold that in your mind as you relax and breathe.
Continue to hold that new creative desire in mind.
Often the hardest part of creating is getting started.
The flow of ideas will come as you start.
Start imperfectly.
Start messy.
Start without a plan.
Just start,
And let the process unfold.
There is no right or wrong way to get started,
So start to envision simply how you will start.
Remember friends,
It is simple to breathe and create space to be open and available.
It is simple to create.
Take another breath and return to the room.
Thank you.
Happy creative journeys.
