Welcome to the start of your seven day reset where we'll be focusing on reclaiming your balance.

Over the coming seven days you'll engage in practices designed to help you center yourself and return to your own energy and release anything that's no longer serving you.

Today we begin by drawing back the energy that's truly yours and sending back any energy from others or places that may have settled on you.

This is such an important practice and something that is really a lovely thing to do.

So just start by finding that comfortable position.

Whether it's lying down or sitting up straight in a chair or on the floor it doesn't matter.

Just make yourself comfortable and I want you to take a slow breath,

A breath in,

Hold it for a moment and then release it.

You can do this through your nose,

In through your nose,

Out through your mouth or allow yourself just to take nice deep breaths in and out of the nose,

Whatever suits you best.

Just allow your body to settle,

To relax as you take another long calming breath and then let it go.

With every exhale just let any tension go,

Let any stress go and let your body soften.

Now gently close your eyes and let your awareness turn inward.

Start to notice how your body feels.

Notice your breath,

Notice your breath without changing it.

Just feel the natural rhythm,

The rise and fall of your breath.

Each exhale drawing you deeper into a state of calm and each exhale releasing any tension that you still may be holding on to.

I wonder if you could just imagine that you're standing in a wide open space.

Maybe you're standing on the top of a hill looking over the most beautiful view of nature all around you.

You can feel the wind lightly brushing against your skin.

In this moment you're all alone but you're connected to everything.

Everything that is rightfully yours,

All that energy belongs to you,

Is within reach.

And now imagine there are small threads of energy stretching from you to people and places.

Some threads feel really strong,

Grounding but others may feel like a pull or a drain.

These threads connect you to moments in time,

Maybe conversations,

Maybe people or places where you may have given more energy than you needed or taken on energy that wasn't actually yours.

Just imagine those threads,

Visualize them one by one.

See the ones that feel like they're not yours and just gently begin to release them.

Maybe you could imagine untangling them or maybe you could just gently imagine cutting them loose,

Allowing those threads of energy to drift back to their own source,

Wherever that may be.

Whatever feels natural to you,

Just begin that process now,

Sending back all the energy that doesn't belong to you with kindness and compassion and reclaiming your own energy.

Feel yourself becoming lighter,

Maybe freer,

The weight of others energy just dissolving.

It drifts away on that breeze and you are left with only what is rightfully yours,

Your own vibrant,

Powerful energy that's yours.

And just continue this process until you feel whole,

Until you feel your energy returning to its rightful place with you.

And now take a moment just to focus on recalling your energy.

Imagine it coming back to you,

Perhaps in the form of light or threads coming back attaching themselves to you,

Whatever works for you.

Maybe it's a warm breeze that's coming towards you and just see that warm breeze swirling around you,

Filling you,

Returning to you,

To your body,

Your mind,

Your spirit and feel it grounding you,

Nourishing you,

Strengthening you.

As this energy returns,

Notice how your body begins to feel more centered,

More balanced,

More like yourself,

Knowing that every breath you take is now bringing you more of your own energy back to you,

Restoring all your strength and that wonderful balance.

And as we near the end of this meditation,

Imagine yourself standing really tall now,

The wind still gently blowing around you.

You feel rooted,

Rooted to the earth,

Grounded in your own space,

Your own energy.

Everything that is yours feels safely within you now and everything that belongs to others has been sent back with absolute care,

With love,

With peace.

And now feeling proud of yourself,

Take another nice,

Slow,

Deep breath in and as you exhale,

Feel that sense of calm and peace washing over you.

And as you stand in this wonderful open space,

You can see a tree in the distance,

A beautiful tall tree and you just look at it and its roots,

You know,

Go deep down into the earth,

Almost unshakable,

Strong,

Yet its branches sway in the breeze and no matter the weather or the season,

You know that this tree remains balanced,

Grounded and centered in itself.

You draw a parallel to you and this tree.

Like the tree,

You are now rooted firmly in your own energy,

Steady,

Secure,

Ready to face anything that comes your way,

No matter where you are,

No matter what season.

You are strong,

Secure and relaxed,

Completely balanced now with your own energy,

With everything that belongs to you.

And whenever you feel any unbalance in your life,

You can return to this place of yours,

Calling back your energy and restoring your inner harmony.

So when you're ready,

You can slowly begin to bring your awareness back to your room.

You can wiggle your fingers,

Wiggle your toes and when you're ready,

Gently open your eyes.

This was very revealing for me! I was able to imagine, as guided, sending and receiving energy from people close to me. I could blatantly feel how very little was being received back from several people whom I considered important to me, and whom I invest my emotions in. I have some thinking to do!
