Chapter 8 Enro sat at his desk,
Eyes scanning the screen,
Pausing to check the perfection of each detail in the image he was creating.
His hand tapping on the mouse as he made the edits,
He sighed with satisfaction.
It is exactly as I saw it in my mind,
He thought,
Visually patting himself on the back for having translated the frequency into an image that could be shared with millions.
Leaning back in his chair,
He shifted his gaze to the sliding glass doors showing him the view of the ocean.
Instantly mesmerized by the colors and peacefulness,
It was just a turn of the head away from his computer.
He reflected on the many synchronicities that had guided him to this rental home.
It was outrageously expensive,
And yet worth every dollar he paid in exchange for this beauty.
A little bit longer,
And then I will wrap up early for the day,
He thought,
Turning his attention back to the project he was completing for his client.
It was his stomach growling that finally convinced Enro to save the digital files and close his laptop.
Standing up,
Stretching his arms high above his head,
Arching his back,
Leaning down to touch his toes and stretch out his muscles,
And then standing back up with a big exhale,
He made his way into the kitchen.
He opened up the fridge,
Pulling out one of the prepared meals from his friend who managed the Thai restaurant a few blocks away.
Enro could feel his mouth already starting to water in delight.
Putting it in the oven and setting the timer for 20 minutes,
He decided to get a bag ready for his time at the beach after this very late lunch.
An hour later,
Stomach full and body snug and warm in his wetsuit,
Enro parked his car in the public lot next to the beach and started unfastening his surfboard from the rack on top of the car.
Busy in the task,
At first he didn't hear his name being called by a familiar voice.
When it registered,
He turned and smiled,
Calling back to Dustin,
His friend from New Zealand who somehow spent more time surfing than he seemed to working.
His easy lifestyle continued to inspire Enro,
Which was one of the main reasons he was here surfing tonight.
Laughing and already loudly bantering back and forth,
The two friends carried their boards to the entrance to the beach and made their way towards the water.
This was one of the best parts of being alive,
They telepathically communicated to each other as they looked out to check the waves for late afternoon.
Perfect weather.
At first,
Carrying their boards and walking into the waves,
Then laying down and beginning to paddle with their hands,
Enro was only half listening to Dustin's story until his question poked through into his awareness.
Will you come with me?
He realized Dustin had just asked him.
To Bali?
Enro asked with a laugh.
Yes,
Dustin said,
Coughing as a splash of water went up his nose.
Let's talk about it when we're done,
Enro replied.
Maybe.
For now,
I'm ready to ride.
Nodding,
Dustin started paddling a bit faster as he prepared to get up on his knees and begin their adventure.
An hour and a half later,
The two sat side by side on the beach,
Boards by their side,
Suits half off,
Towels wrapped around their shoulders,
Muscles aching and hearts still beating fast.
Pure joy radiated from every cell in their bodies as they watched the sun beginning to make its way down on the horizon,
Filling the sky with oranges and reds and just the beginning shades of purple.
I still can't believe I manifested this reality,
Enro said quietly,
Reverently,
Out loud.
Dustin nodded.
Yeah,
Man,
Me too,
With a chuckle.
We are pretty impressive manifestors.
As they sat taking in the beauty of the view,
Enro's memory flashed back to Dustin's question earlier.
I missed what you were saying about Bali,
He said.
What are you planning?
Dustin sat up straighter and excitedly began speaking.
Oh,
That's right.
Yeah,
My friends are hosting a retreat at their villa with a plant medicine ceremony,
And I'm going.
Do you want to go with me?
I don't know.
Tell me more about the retreat and the ceremony,
Enro said.
He had heard many stories over the past two years from friends and partners in his work about the powerful shifts in awareness that they had experienced in ceremony spaces,
But he had not yet experienced it for himself.
It's a four-day retreat with two nights of ceremony the week before New Year's,
Dustin replied.
I think you're ready,
Man.
You've been asking more questions,
And maybe this is the time to go in and find out for yourself.
As Dustin filled him in on the details and logistics,
Enro felt that familiar tingle starting to move from his stomach up into his heart space,
Making its way towards his throat chakra,
Locking down his teeth to hold the words in for a few more minutes.
As Dustin kept talking,
Enro could already feel the yes in his body.
Yes,
It was time.
Yes,
It was with Dustin and his community.
Yes,
It was in Bali.
All of the elements had aligned,
And he was ready for the next phase of his evolution.
While his mind was throwing up question after question in fear to prevent him from leaving,
Enro already knew that he would be spending this New Year's with Dustin in Bali.
Turning his eyes fully towards the sun making its way down into the ocean,
Brilliantly bringing forward every color of the rainbow of creation in one miraculous visual,
Enro opened his mouth,
Smiled,
And heard his yes as a mantra or prayer vibrationally being sent out in front of him,
Across the ocean,
Around the world,
To his seat waiting for him in ceremony in Bali.
Yes,
And thank you.
