Let's do a meditation I call the stairway to heaven.
This meditation is going to allow you to transcend your ordinary consciousness and enter into an elevated and altered state of consciousness.
In this meditation we are going to use a sound that can be quite stimulating and even triggering for some of us.
Since this meditation is not everybody's cup of tea I want to play this sound to you now and if you feel that it triggers you and makes you feel uncomfortable then I would suggest that you find another meditation.
So here is the sound.
Now if you find this tolerable even if it might be stimulating and weird then I invite you to perform this meditation with me.
First let us find a comfortable sitting position.
You can sit on the ground or on a chair.
Make sure that you keep your spine erect.
The best way to do this,
Especially if sitting on a chair,
Is to imagine that you have a tail and that you don't want to sit on your tail and so you need to push your buttocks out a little bit to make sure that your tail has space.
This will bring your spine into a normal S-curve.
Once you've found this position you can begin to let go of the effort of keeping your spine erect.
If you've done this properly then each vertebra is going to align on top of the lower one in a way that you can sit upright without needing to exert force.
Start by relaxing your pelvis.
Let the pelvis go and relax into the chair or ground.
With it,
Relax your legs.
Once you feel that your lower body from the pelvis down is relaxed,
Begin relaxing each and every vertebra going up along the spine,
Relaxing each vertebra and feeling how it sits on top of the vertebra below it.
And as it does that,
It's as if it relaxes an entire slice of your body.
Keep going up vertebra by vertebra,
Up to the navel,
Then to the ribs,
The center of the chest,
The center between the shoulder blades,
And then to the vertebra we know as C7.
This is the seventh vertebra of the neck.
It is the first one that you will encounter.
It is this bump that you have that protrudes out at the level of our shoulders.
Now,
Together with your shoulders,
Relax your arms.
Now continue upwards.
Relax the vertebras of the neck until you reach your skull.
Then relax your face.
Relax your jaws,
Your cheeks,
Your lips and your tongue.
Relax your eyes,
Your eyebrows,
Your temples.
Relax around your ears,
The back of the head,
Your forehead and eyebrows,
And the top of your head.
Within this relaxed state,
I want you to imagine as if there is a door in the center of your chest.
And when you open this door,
You see a staircase.
A staircase that goes up along your spine,
That goes from your heart to infinity.
I want you to begin walking up these stairs,
One step at a time,
Going up and up into infinity.
There is no end to the stairs.
The light at their end is always at the same distance and you go up stair by stair.
We will now go up the stairs continuously with this sound that will help us rise to our highest consciousness.
There is no end to this rising.
We can rise in consciousness into infinity.
But for today we will end this meditation.
I thank you all for joining and wish you a beautiful and elevating day.
Namaste.
