Welcome,

Friend,

To a short meditation for activating Kundalini and the chakras.

The chakras are focal points in our energy system,

Located along the spine,

That determine the level of consciousness and our experience of the universe around us.

Each chakra can be activated by a special syllable which is called a bija mantra,

A seed mantra,

That opens up its core.

In this meditation,

We will first vocally emit,

One after the other,

The bijas of the chakras,

After which we will repeat the process internally in our mind.

The continuous and cyclical repetition of the mantras of the chakras is going to awaken Kundalini and open up a path for the rising of the energy along our spine to higher levels of consciousness.

Here are the bija mantras of the chakras.

In order to activate the muladhara,

The root chakra,

Located at the root of the spine,

We emit the sound LAM.

In order to activate and open the svadhisthana chakra,

The sacral chakra,

Located in the spine at the level of the genitals,

We announce the sound VAM.

To activate and open the manipura chakra,

Located in the spine at the level of the navel,

We announce the sound RAM.

To activate the anahata,

The heart chakra,

Located at the spine at the level of the center of the chest,

We announce the sound YAM.

To activate the visuddha chakra,

Located at the level of the throat,

We announce HAM.

In this meditation,

And there are other options,

We will use the sound OM in order to activate the ajna chakra,

The third eye,

Located in the center of the head behind the eyebrows,

Thus OM.

And finally,

For the sahasrara,

The crowned chakra,

Located at the top of the head in the fontanella,

We will use the sound AHAM.

So sit in a comfortable sitting position,

Keep your spine erect,

Take a deep breath and begin announcing all the mantras.

LAM VAM RAM YAM HAM OM AHAM Use one breath for all seven chakras.

At the end,

Inhale again and begin anew.

LAM VAM RAM YAM HAM OM Each time you announce a mantra,

Whether you do so vocally or internally,

Feel a pulsation happening at the level of each one of the chakras.

LAM VAM RAM YAM LAM VAM RAM YAM HAM OM AHAM LAM VAM RAM YAM HAM OM AHAM LAM VAM RAM YAM HAM OM LAM VAM RAM YAM HAM OM LAM VAM RAM YAM LAM VAM RAM YAM HAM OM AHAM LAM VAM RAM YAM HAM OM AHAM LAM VAM RAM YAM HAM OM AHAM Continue the meditation.

Now internally,

Emit each one of the mantras inside of your mind,

Feeling the pulsation at the level of each of the chakras.

We continue in silence for a couple of minutes.

Stop.

Complete the set you have started and then remain in silence,

Noticing your sensations,

The vibrations,

And observing everything inside of you.

You may have very strong vibrations moving through your body,

Felt along the spine or even the top of the head.

Allow yourself to dissolve in these sensations.

Notice if you have a subtle shift of consciousness.

You can gently open your eyes and look around and see if the world seems in any way slightly different.

Allow yourself to enjoy this change.

Allow for the activation of kundalini shakti and the seven chakras guide your way throughout this day.

Until our next meeting,

Namaste.

Meet your Teacher

This was exactly what I was looking for, a simple chakra meditation to help remind me of the sound and pronunciation of each chakra.

I have tried Mantras many times, but this is the only discipline I’ve found where you do all of them in one breath and in a specific manner. When he said, allow yourself to feel joy at the end, I wept. i have not allowed myself this joy for so long. thank you
