I'm just starting to acknowledge that we are welcomed here in this moment that supports me,

That I can gently feel the air flow moving in,

Releasing out.

Notice how the body is held,

That it makes contact with a soft texture or a firmness that just holds the body in place,

That this firm surrounding that makes contact with my body might have a texture,

Might be made with a fabric,

But something that just softens,

Allowing me to lay back.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

We might use the hands or we can shift around to just notice the softness that holds my body today,

Maybe with cloth,

Shade,

Something that just puts us back here.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

So we just try to come back moment to moment,

One breath at a time.

Drawing in the inhale,

Releasing out with an exhale.

We do our best to soften the chest and soften the belly.

Noticing the gentle waves of each breath that I take for me and I release back out.

This open,

Spacious airflow that's here,

Plentiful,

That can be felt with a coolness or a warmth with each breath.

So just coming back to this idea that this airflow is shared amongst all living things,

That I can breathe in to help nourish me,

Breathe out to soften,

That I can return back to my body held,

My body felt.

Gently shifting to just place ourselves back in the space,

Opening it up to the peace.

Nothing to do,

Nowhere to be,

But to just gently come back every time the mind wanders or the heart becomes elevated by a thought.

Almost acting as if we're a tree or we are the mountain.

That's here to witness and observe.

That's flexible,

Valuable,

Adaptable,

Resilient,

But also capable of just standing tall,

Feeling stable,

Feeling firm and confident in being held in this space today.

Breathing in,

Releasing out.

So if it's helpful for you,

You can imagine a grand open space,

A place where the air flows gently,

Is comfortable,

And brings a refreshing coolness to you.

You can imagine this airflow expanding out under the spacious sky that's shared by the people you love,

By the green plants,

All creating a very refreshing,

Rejuvenating space.

Maybe a garden that's just for you.

So imagine that nourishing airflow seeping in through your airways,

Opening the lungs,

The throat,

And releasing out.

Almost like a cleansing,

Filtering flow,

Like clean water coming in to wash away the heaviness,

The tiredness,

The stagnant,

And the stuck.

But this rejuvenating airflow coming in to cleanse and soften,

Reminding me of the present,

That I'm allowed to take a few moments to just breathe as a living,

Breathing human being.

Almost like taking a towel and twisting out the drops,

Letting all of that heaviness,

Letting the stuckness fall and float away.

And then if it feels nice for you,

You can start to gently roll the muscles,

Rotating the neck,

Softening the jaw,

Rolling the shoulders forward,

Up,

And back.

Just letting that refreshing,

Rejuvenating airflow seep in to circulate those tight spaces.

Almost like fresh sunlight casting newness to awaken those parts of the body again.

So we can take a few moments here,

Finding what feels good for you.

You can gently move the body,

Stretching up through the branches of the arms,

Expanding out to move the fingers,

The wrists,

Shaking it out.

Again,

Just releasing some of the stuckness from the week,

From the day.

Inviting in that breath to come in almost like a breeze that blows through the trees,

Letting the leaves wrestle.

Breathing in,

Releasing out.

And then finally,

If you notice that there's any place in the body that feels particularly heavy or tired today,

I invite you to bring in some warmth.

You can bring in your hand to place in or around that area if that feels nice for you.

You can use the fingertips to gently massage,

Almost as if we are simply like anyone we love or anyone that loves us,

Like when we were little.

That hand is there to just soften,

As if to say,

I see you body.

I feel the discomfort.

And I am here to bring in this warmth,

To just make it a little better.

Being gentle with that part of ourselves that might be in pain or might be tight today.

Again,

Acknowledging that this body is busy.

This body does a lot.

So the tightness and discomfort makes sense.

So just bringing that warmth again,

As if to say,

Thank you,

Body,

For allowing me to do all the things that I need to do.

Let me now take a moment to invite in some cleansing breaths or gentle movements to just try to soften it a little,

Make it a little bit better this morning.

So you can find what moves,

What stretches might just start to bring in some circulation to the area.

Again,

This could be gently rubbing with the hand or gently massaging or maybe just moving the body in a way that respects the area,

Softening the tightness.

Breathing in,

Releasing out.

And then lastly,

As a whole,

We'll invite in the breath,

Almost as if it's a source of radiant golden light,

Natural,

Life-giving force that comes into the body,

Warming us,

Softening,

And filling us in the spaces where we need it the most.

Maybe these are positive intentions or thoughts,

Gentle,

Loving,

Kind intentions,

Well wishes from others,

Whatever it may be,

Coming in the form of this golden light that we just breathe in,

Filling the body,

And then releasing what no longer serves us,

Rejuvenating us through the throat,

Through the chest,

Filling us in the heart,

Expanding through the shoulders,

Down the arms,

Into the fingers,

And just letting that lightness start to fill the head,

The trunk,

The hips,

Our strong legs,

And then our feet,

Which roots us into the ground.

Breathing in,

Releasing out.

So just allow yourself to succumb to the love,

Hearing what unconditional love,

Expanding out to you from your loved ones,

Coming in and feeling it,

Maybe calling to mind their faces,

Calling to mind the gentle kindness that they share for you,

Just knowing that they're with you,

Here to support you.

If there's anything that they wish to tell you,

Take a moment to listen what unconditional love would like to share with you on this day.

Hear what they have to say in the language,

In the voice,

In the tone that they would use.

Unconditional love,

Supporting you as you are.

We'll thank them with an acknowledgement as we start to gently wind back into ourselves today.

Maybe gently moving the body very slowly,

As if waking up from a nap.

Expanding out into the sky,

Moving the arms towards the oceans to the left,

Towards the mountains to the right,

Forward and back.

Acknowledging that you are giving this space today to yourself,

Honoring your body,

Honoring your mind and your spirit.

Kudos to you for taking the time.

And now just notice the effects of that.

Take a moment to pause,

Let everything settle to the bottom,

Like sediment floating down to the bottom.

Gently take a few moments to just acknowledge how you feel now as we end our meditation today.
