I just want to acknowledge all the effort that it takes to get here.

So thank you for carving out the time and the space for your body,

For your wellness today.

Kudos to you.

All right,

Let's get started with this mindful walking exercise.

So placing your feet on the ground,

Placing your body in the space that you're in today,

Notice how this new day welcomes you.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

You might notice the refreshing air flow of this new day.

You might notice the light as it starts to awaken all of the unexpected adventures that lie ahead.

You might notice the awakening,

The new day for all us living creatures.

And so as you move today,

Notice how the body is starting to awaken after its slumber.

That you can move step by step and how it allows the entire body to follow with ease.

Nothing that you need to think about,

But just move as you start to awaken.

Inviting the day into your body as the day invites you into the present.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

And so starting a brand new day means that we do carry what's lingering from the day before,

The weeks before,

That it's held in the body that it's held in the body,

Just wanting us to release it,

To shake off,

To work through.

Know that that is also part of you today.

And that this new day brings a chance to release some of that.

Just like refreshing water coming down a stream,

Starting to move the stagnant,

The unnecessary,

Inviting in a refreshing new flow.

So as you move today,

We honor the body and its ability to be resilient,

Its ability to invite in newness.

So just start to notice that as you move with intention,

That you can move as fast as you'd like,

Or slow as you'd like today.

But just notice how the body responds,

Providing you with sensations,

Providing you with information about what areas may be opening up,

And what areas need a little bit more attention and tenderness today.

As you walk,

Notice how the present welcomes you with its vibrant colors,

With its subtle changes,

With its softness,

With its softness.

With its vibrant colors,

With its subtle changes.

You might feel the airflow gently blowing against your skin,

The temperature of the weather today,

Surrounding you.

Nothing to do,

Nowhere to be,

But just to be a creature of the earth,

Awakening into the new day,

Allowing the light to cast down on you,

Opening up our systems with each breath.

And as we start to circulate that breath through the body,

Allow yourself to extend that breath,

That motion,

As you start to awaken other parts of the body.

As you start to awaken other parts of the body,

Maybe moving certain joints,

Twisting gently,

Breathing in this new day,

Releasing out,

Inviting that circulation to flow into the tight spaces,

As you start to explore your body.

Just like the cat or the dog that moves their paws,

Moves their limbs,

That moves their paws,

Moves their limbs,

Or the bird that just takes a moment to open their wings,

Plant their feet on the fence,

And becoming aware of themselves and what they need.

Breathing in,

Releasing out.

We might gently move the neck around in the space today,

The nose towards the sky,

Up and around,

As you may see other creatures,

Other living things,

Creatures,

Other living things,

Welcoming you,

Saying good morning,

With their bird songs,

With their flutters,

Even with their gentle waves,

As the wind catches underneath their leaves or their stems.

So,

Welcoming you into your community,

Your home,

Things that are familiar and also changing.

Together,

You step into the present of this new day.

Breathing in,

Releasing out.

So,

As we honor,

Pay tribute to this body,

We'll start to just scan down from the crown of the head,

Down the shoulders,

The arms,

The wrists,

And the fingers,

Our strong spine,

Our strong legs,

Our trunk,

Rooting down,

Into our feet,

That touches the earth and the surfaces that support us.

Honoring your whole self,

All of you,

As you come into this day.

And as we start to move towards our intention,

Take a moment to let your inner compass,

Your inner guide,

Your heart,

Be filled.

Allow yourself to just take a moment to identify what guides you today.

What guides you today.

What guides you today.

What light draws you forward?

What springs brightness?

This idea of values comes to mind here.

Of just what exactly guides you today.

So,

It might be hard to answer,

And that's okay.

But just starting with one step at a time,

As you move this morning,

Coming from a space of love,

Of love and care,

Instead of a space of protection and fear,

What draws you with the heart,

With your love?

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

We'll end this meditation with just a few moments of gratitude,

Beaming out awareness and appreciation.

The things that you may see,

Smell,

Sense this morning.

Just take a moment to be with that appreciation of things that have been really enjoyable for you on this mindful walk or movement this morning.

As if to say thank you.

We take a moment to just let that grace settle in.

And again,

Lastly,

Honoring you and the time to try something new today,

To try something different.

Well done.
