Welcome.
Find a comfortable position where your body can begin to relax.
Rest your hands gently in your lap.
Soften your shoulders.
And if it feels comfortable,
Close your eyes.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in through your nose.
And gently breathe out through your mouth.
Again,
Breathe in slowly.
And breathe out.
Letting your shoulders soften just a little more.
One more deep breath in.
And slowly exhale.
As your breathing settles into a calm,
Steady rhythm,
Remember these words from scripture.
Be still and know that I am God.
Psalm 46 10.
You don't have to carry every burden by yourself.
You don't have to answer everything today.
Right now,
Simply allow yourself to rest in God's presence.
As you inhale,
Quietly think,
God is with me.
As you exhale,
I will not fear.
Again.
Inhale.
God is with me.
Exhale.
I will not fear.
Notice the air filling your lungs.
Notice your body becoming a little lighter.
Notice the peace that comes from slowing down.
Even if your circumstances have not changed,
God's presence has never left you.
Isaiah 4110 reminds us.
Fear not,
For I am with you.
Be not dismayed,
For I am your God.
I will strengthen you.
I will help you.
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Take another slow breath in.
And slowly breathe out.
Whatever is weighing on your heart today.
Imagine placing it into God's hands.
He sees you.
He knows you.
He walks beside you.
Take one final deep breath in.
And slowly release it.
Before you continue with your day,
Remember this simple truth.
You are never alone.
May God's peace guard your heart,
Steady your mind.
And remind you that His presence goes with you wherever you are.
When you're ready.
Gently open your eyes,
And go in peace.
