Take a slow breath in through your nose and slowly let it go through your mouth.
Again,
Breathe in slowly and breathe out gently.
Let your shoulders soften.
Let your jaw unclench.
Let your body know it is safe to rest.
Now bring your attention to your breathing.
You don't need to change it.
Just notice the air moving in and out.
If your mind is busy,
That's okay.
Thoughts come and go.
Just gently return your focus to your breath.
Breathing in,
Breathing out.
Now imagine your body getting a little heavier with each breath.
Your forehead softening,
Your eyes resting,
Your shoulders dropping.
Let your chest relax.
Let your stomach soften.
You don't have to hold anything tonight.
As you breathe out,
Imagine the day slowly leaving your body.
Any stress,
Any worry,
Just gently drifting away.
Calm.
Breathing out tension.
Now take one slightly deeper breath.
In through the nose and slowly out.
You made it through today.
Your body is allowed to rest now.
There is nothing else you need to do tonight.
Let your breathing return to its natural rhythm.
