Close your eyes if you wish and take a deep,

Calming breath in through your nose and slowly exhale through your mouth.

As you continue to breathe gently,

Imagine a soft,

Warm light surrounding you.

This light is soothing and calming and it gently wraps around your body like a cozy blanket.

Feel its warmth and tranquility as it embraces you,

Providing a sense of safety and comfort.

Now let us focus on your body.

Start by paying attention to your toes.

Feel the tension leaving them,

Letting them become loose and relaxed.

Move your awareness up through your feet and ankles,

Allowing all the muscles to unwind and release any tension they have been holding.

As this soothing light continues to envelop you,

Bring your attention to your lower legs and knees.

Feel them growing heavy as the warmth eases the tension away.

Now let this peaceful sensation spread to your thighs and hips,

Melting away any stress or discomfort.

Sense the light moving up to your abdomen and chest.

Your breathing is calm and steady and you can feel the soothing light nourishing your heart,

Allowing it to rest and find peace.

Now relax your shoulders and arms.

Let go of any lingering tension in your muscles.

Feel the gentle weightlessness as the comforting light cradles your arms.

Now move your attention to your neck and head.

Feel the tension in your neck melt away and imagine your head resting on a soft,

Supportive pillow.

Your facial muscles are soft and relaxed.

And your entire body is calm and at ease.

As you bask in this tranquil sensation,

Take a moment to connect with your breath.

Each inhale is a breath of fresh,

Healing air and each exhale releases any remaining stress or worry.

The practice that I highly find one of the main important exercises when talking about cultivating emotional wellness is consistency in behaviors.

Consistency in behaviors is key when wanting to cultivate emotional wellness as our daily behaviors shape the music of our emotional well-being.

The choices we make,

The habits we cultivate and the patterns we establish contribute to the symphony of our inner world.

Consider our behaviors as a thread weaving the tapestry of our emotional landscape.

The habits we repeat day after day create patterns,

Influencing the melody of our feelings and reactions.

It is within this realm of consistency that we find the power to cultivate emotional resilience.

Consistency provides a sense of stability and predictability,

Offering a comforting rhythm to our lives.

In the context of emotional wellness,

It acts as a steady hand guiding us through the ebbs and flows of daily experiences.

By recognizing the role of consistent behaviors,

We acknowledge the opportunity for intentional positive influence on our emotional states.

Often when we make big changes it overwhelms our nervous system because it feels too big of a transformation,

Which is why we often fall back to the old behavior and have even more difficulty to feel safe to bring change in behaviors that stand in our way of our emotional wellness.
