Hello little one.
Before we begin our story.
We are just going to be here.
In your bed.
In your room.
Whites Now.
You don't have to imagine anything yet.
Just feel your blanket.
Your duvet,
Or your sheets.
Is it soft?
Is it warm?
Let your fingers run over it slowly and gently.
Now press your back into the mattress.
Just a tiny press.
Press.
Press.
And let it go.
Again.
A tiny breath.
Press.
Press.
And let it go.
Good.
Now,
Let your body become still.
Even if you're mine.
Is still busy.
Busy minds are clever minds.
And clever minds can learn to rest.
Thoughts do not have to disappear.
They can simply become quieter.
Now we take a slow breath before story time.
Breathe in through your nose.
Like you were smelling warm cookies.
Slowly and breathe out through your mouth.
Like you are gently blowing on hot chocolate.
Slow in,
Smell the cookies.
Long out!
Blow on the chocolate.
I can.
Breathe in,
Smelling warm cookies.
And long out as if you're blowing on hot chocolate.
One more now.
All by yourself.
Slow in.
And long out.
Your body can start resting now.
If you'd like to.
You can gently close your eyes to listen to the story.
Because the story is about bears.
And how Bear has had another busy day.
He has climbed over logs?
Chased butterflies?
Listened to the birds.
Looked at the clouds.
And the moon has come out.
The forest is becoming quiet.
Bear lies down on his soft sleepy cloud.
The cloud knows him now.
And Bear knows the cloud.
They are friends.
The cloud settles underneath him gently like the softest of pillows.
Like being hugged by the sky.
Bear smiles.
He doesn't have to hold himself up anymore.
The cloud holds them.
As the bear.
Looks around the forest.
He notices something tiny.
A tiny little light.
Then down.
Then lying.
And then die.
It's a firefly.
Soon another appears.
And another.
And another.
Blippi.
Before long.
The forest is filled with tiny glowing fireflies.
So pretty.
Not bright.
Not busy.
Just soft little lights.
Like stars that have come down from the sky to visit.
One tiny firefly lands beside Bear's right paw.
Its little glow feels warm and gentle.
His right paw grows soft.
Another firefly lands beside his left paw.
Now his left paw becomes soft too.
Both paws are soft and resting.
Two tiny fireflies float towards his arms.
Right arm becomes soft.
Left arm.
It becomes so.
Both arms are now resting.
His sleepy firefly lands near Bear's shoulders.
The shoulders melt down.
Soft and loose.
Another tiny light rests near his neck.
His neck becomes comfortable.
A little golden firefly floats to his tummy.
Bear notices his breathing.
His tummy rises and it falls.
Rises.
.
.
And falls.
Now fireflies drift underneath his legs.
The right leg becomes heavy and still.
The left leg.
Happy.
And still.
Both legs are now resting.
His back feels supported by the fluffy cloud.
He doesn't have to hold himself up anymore.
The cloud holds him.
Now a little firefly visits Bear's cheeks.
His cheeks soften.
Another visits his jaw.
His jaw becomes soft and loose.
One tiny sleepy firefly rests beside his tongue.
His tongue rests quietly.
Like magic.
And the very last firefly glows gently beside his eyes.
His eyes can stay open if they wish or they can gently close.
Either way is perfect.
Bear chooses to close his eyes.
Sometimes Bear's mind still remembers the day.
Running,
Climbing,
Playing,
Listening.
Thinking.
But the sleepy fireflies blink softly and whisper.
You don't need to think about those things now.
They will still be there tomorrow.
And one by one.
Bear's thoughts become slower.
Not gone.
Just slower.
Like sleepy fireflies floating through the night.
Nothing to do.
Nowhere to go.
Just resting.
And the fireflies whisper one more time.
Busy minds are clever minds and clever minds can rest too.
The sleepy cloud drifts very slowly.
Not far.
Just enough to feel safe.
The forest is quiet.
The moon shines softly above.
The stars twinkle.
And tiny fireflies glow gently all around Bear.
Some bling.
Some rest.
Some drift lazily through the air.
Bear sinks a little deeper into his cloud.
And just like bear,
You can sing a little deeper tune.
Your body can rest.
Your thoughts can mess.
Your busy mind.
You can become quiet now.
Good night,
Sleepy bear.
Good night,
Little fireflies.
Good night,
Soft clouds.
Good night.
A quiet forest Good night,
Stars.
Good night.
Man.
Good night.
Bye.
Goodnight,
Little one.
You are safe.
And you are love.
