Today's journey is rooted in the Sufi breathing technique.
This ancient practice is used across many traditions to transform,
Heal,
And connect with the deep wisdom of your body,
Mind,
And spirit.
Because this practice involves intense physical and emotional releases.
It's not advised for anyone with heart conditions,
High blood pressure,
Or recent injuries.
Please honor your physical limits.
And if you're new to deep breath work,
I always recommend your first session be with a skilled facilitator.
Today's technique is simple.
Two short active inhales through the mouth,
Followed by a sighing mouth exhale.
For the next 15 minutes,
We'll breathe together matching the rhythm of the music and flowing into gentle breath holds.
As we begin,
Focus entirely on keeping a steady pace rather than taking deep breaths.
Let your jaw go loose.
Relax your body.
Close your eyes.
Let's get on the same vibrational frequency and begin mouth breathing in 5,
