Hi everyone,
I'm Stephanie Boxer Baum.
Thank you so much for meditating with me today.
For today's practice,
We're going to be doing a 10-minute work reset practice.
Now,
I understand it's not always so easy to meditate at work,
But I think it's helpful to have these practices on the off chance,
Maybe you can go to your car to do it,
You can close the door to your office,
Or even just knowing that this practice exists You can do it on the weekend and then just remember kind of how it felt in the moment.
So when you're in your workday and things are really heightened or maybe there's a lot of reactivity or things feel really stressful,
That you can come to this practice to find some ease and peace for your mind and your body in the best way that you can.
So coming to a comfortable,
Supported seat,
Whatever that looks like for you,
Especially if you're in your workday.
Just maybe wiggling the fingers and toes a little bit.
And gently closing your eyes when you are ready.
So taking a deep breath in.
And a gentle breath out.
And doing that once more,
Deep breath in.
And a deep breath out.
Allowing your feet to rest.
To settle into the ground.
Just letting the mind and the body settle.
Letting go of whatever you were doing before this and whatever you're going to be doing after.
And reminding yourself.
That you are enough as is.
No matter what happens the rest of today,
However everything goes.
You are enough as is.
Continuing with a gentle breath in.
And a deep breath out.
Honoring yourself for taking this moment for yourself.
To gain some peace in the body.
Find some centered grounded moments for yourself.
Is all really powerful.
Gentle breath in.
Deep exhale out.
We'll take these next few moments to just gently do some mindful breathing.
So we're simply gonna breathe in through our nose.
Exhale out through the mouth.
At whatever pace and cadence feels good to you.
There is no right or wrong way to breathe.
It's really whatever feels good today.
And allowing yourself to simply concentrate on this very moment.
So you'll have thoughts come up.
And that's OK.
This is the practice.
Coming back to center.
Coming back to being grounded.
And we can practice.
Feeling.
Centered.
In this moment.
I'll watch our time here.
Just simply breathing in and out.
Letting yourself be exactly as you need to be.
Thank you.
Taking another deep inhale in.
And a gentle exhale out.
Setting an intention for how you want to feel.
For the rest of the day.
Going with whatever comes first to your mind.
How do you want to feel?
The rest of the day.
Not letting external circumstances get you going in this direction or that direction.
But taking this moment.
To align with yourself and how you want to feel for the rest of the day.
Can we try?
To decide.
This is a choice.
To use this time as a reset.
Coming back to how you want to feel.
And how you want the rest of the day to go.
Continuing to breathe in and gently breathe out.
Breathing into this intention.
Maybe you want to feel more joyful.
Maybe you simply just want to get through the day in the easiest way possible.
And that is okay too.
Whatever resonates for you right now in this moment is the right answer.
This time is for you.
It's about you.
And it is okay to give yourself permission to be how you need to be.
In this moment and for the rest of the day.
Taking a gentle breath in.
And a deep breath out.
Continuing to let the mind.
The heart.
And the body subtle.
Paying attention to how this feels right now.
And carrying it with you for the rest of the day.
And on a last deep exhale.
Coming back into your surroundings.
Maybe wiggling your fingers and toes.
Thanking yourself for taking the time to practice today and in this moment.
As doing a quick practice during work takes commitment.
But it is definitely worth it.
So remembering that you are always enough as is.
When you're ready,
Gently opening your eyes.
I'm going to be doing more of these 10-minute reset practices.
I think sometimes it's helpful just to have a short practice that you can fit in during the day.
During work.
To get calm,
To get grounded in the best way that we all can.
Thank you so much for meditating with me today and I look forward to meditating again with you soon.
