Hello and welcome to this short morning breathwork meditation to support you in charging up for your day.
If you haven't done so already,
I invite you to sit down or lie down in a comfortable position.
Before you close your eyes,
Perhaps just taking a moment to look around your space and connect with anything in your environment that feels comforting or pleasant.
And when you're ready,
You can close down your eyes and begin to settle in.
Starting by noticing the points of contact between your body and the surface beneath you.
Noticing how your body is supported in this moment.
And bringing your attention inwards,
Just doing a quick body scan and just noticing any areas of stiffness or tension from the night before.
And perhaps it might feel good to give these parts a little wiggle or a shake or a readjustment.
And now bringing your awareness to your breathing,
I invite you to take a nice deep breath in through your nose and just letting out a nice big audible sigh.
And if you like,
You can take another one of those big sigh breaths now.
And bringing your awareness up to your face,
Relaxing your jaw,
Allowing it to hang loose and slack,
Relaxing the tiny muscles around your eyes.
And when you're ready,
Beginning the active breathwork pattern by taking nice deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth,
Choosing a pace that feels good for your body.
That's it.
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
Sending the breath deep down into your belly as you inhale and really letting it go on that exhale,
Ensuring there's no pause at the top or the bottom of the breath.
That's it.
Continuing to circulate that breath in through your nose,
Out through your mouth.
And as you continue to breathe,
Checking in with your body and asking yourself,
What does my body need in this moment?
Perhaps it might feel good to invite in some gentle movement,
Maybe tapping on your heart space or tapping on your arms,
Maybe inviting in a little bit of shaking or swaying.
Or perhaps even allowing yourself to bring some sound into those exhales,
Giving yourself full permission to move and breathe and express.
And if it feels good,
Can you deepen that breath just a little more,
Maybe picking up the pace just a little more,
Doing what feels right for you as you move and flow and get ready for the day.
And if it feels good,
On your next inhalation,
Holding your breath up at the top,
Holding just for a moment and releasing the breath when it feels right for you and just returning to a natural state of breathing.
And as you rest here in this moment,
Asking yourself,
What am I calling in today?
Maybe you're calling in a feeling,
Maybe you're calling in a specific goal.
Just checking in with yourself and listening for the answer.
And if it feels good,
Bringing one or both of your hands over your heart space,
Connecting with your beautiful heart energy.
And perhaps it might feel good to repeat the following words,
Either softly in your mind or out loud.
Thank you.
I love you.
Today is going to be an amazing day.
And when that feels complete,
You can release your hands and begin to bring some gentle movement back into your body,
Maybe wiggling your fingers and your toes or swaying a bit from side to side.
And on your own time,
Fluttering,
Open your eyes and just looking around your space.
Welcome back.
Today is going to be an amazing day.
Sending you lots of love.
