Transcript

In the kindness that receives the grasping,

Self slowly disintegrates.

The work of grief is not to recover who you were before,

Or would have been without the loss,

But to meet the more open heart that wishes to receive you in your ache and despair,

And to know that you are the untightening bud,

The slowly,

Slowly,

Slowly unfolding petals,

The future flower that will one day bloom in praise of having loved.
