Welcome to this forgiveness meditation.
The power of forgiveness is just that.
It is a power.
It allows stuck energy that is inside of us to transform.
To be released.
This is all invisible.
Yet we can feel lighter.
It takes up less space in our mind and it allows our heart to open.
Let's begin.
By getting comfortable.
And relaxing the body.
Focusing on your breath.
Inviting your breath to be long,
Deep,
And relaxed.
And maybe whatever feels heavy in your body right now.
Release with a cleansing breath.
So that means opening the mouth and allowing sound to come out.
Oh.
Doing that a couple of times.
And then I invite you to close the lips.
And shift your awareness now to breathing into your heart.
Let yourself feel all your blocks,
Your barriers,
Whatever it is that feels heavy and you've been carrying,
Whatever emotions are there.
You've chose this meditation because there is some need to let go.
To forgive,
To create harmony again.
And because you are holding and not forgiving yourself or others.
This is a reason to return back.
To what binds harmony.
From the inside out.
Your relationship to self.
And all living beings.
Breathing softly into your heart.
If you want to,
You can place your hand on your heart.
I invite you to repeat the following words.
Allowing whatever images and feelings to arise.
And grow deeper as you feel them.
If you're ready.
There are many ways that I have hurt and harmed others.
Causing suffering,
Knowingly or unknowingly.
Out of my pain,
Fear,
Anger,
And confusion.
Now let yourself remember.
And visualize the ways you've hurt others or yourself.
See and feel that pain.
You have caused out of your own fear,
Confusion.
Or anger.
Allow yourself to feel your own sorrow.
Whatever comes up.
Allow it.
Now sense.
That you can now finally release this burden.
And ask for forgiveness.
Allowing each memory that still burdens in your heart and mind.
To transform.
So imagine a specific person,
It could be yourself,
That you're asking for this forgiveness from.
See them in your heart and in your mind and repeat after me,
I ask for your forgiveness.
I ask for your forgiveness.
Feel them receiving these words.
There is a deep recognition.
As you look into the eyes of this person.
When you feel complete.
Bow to them.
And their image fades away.
And before you now.
Is a mirror.
This mirror is an opportunity now to forgive yourself.
In the many ways that you've hurt yourself,
Known or unknown.
Through your words,
Through your thoughts,
Through your actions.
Begin to relax.
Reflect.
In the ways that you've hurt yourself.
Your body.
Inviting your breath to be deep as you just reflect.
The pain that you have created for yourself.
Feel your sorrow.
Your burdens.
And if you're ready.
Repeat after me.
For the ways that I have hurt myself.
Through action,
Word,
And action.
Or deed.
I now intend a full,
Heartful forgiveness.
I forgive myself.
I forgive myself.
I forgive myself.
And feel that being received.
As you look into the eyes of yourself.
You are not the body that you see.
You were that spirit deep within.
And feel that.
Being received.
And acknowledged.
As you breathe into your heart.
This is such a tender space.
Yet there's a power in this transformation.
You no longer have to carry it.
Because it creates guilt.
Shame,
And all these unwanted emotions.
You deserve love.
And when we have the strength to forgive ourselves.
We give love back.
To ourself.
At our last breath.
Focus of forgiveness.
Will be those who hurt yourself.
Known or unknown.
The pain that you have felt from others,
From their actions,
Their words.
Whatever you have carried for so long,
When you think about who has hurt you the most in your life.
Who comes to your mind.
And bring that one person there.
And you can do this several times.
Let's just choose one person at this time.
And imagine them in front of you and from your heart,
You offer.
These tender,
Compassionate words as you repeat after me.
I remember the pain that you caused me from your actions,
Words,
Or deeds.
Now I am ready to transform.
In my heart.
All the pain.
I have carried.
I forgive you.
I forgive you.
I forgive you.
I am free.
And as you feel that recognition being received.
The Acknowledgement.
From the other person and yourself.
Do you feel this sense?
Of freedom.
You feel lighter.
Notice how you feel and where you feel it.
And let the image of that person dissolve.
As you come directly into your being.
It takes a lot of courage.
To go into these places of pain,
Resentment,
Guilt,
Shame,
Which has been created by.
These experiences.
You did a great job.
And you can revisit this meditation.
And choose more people to forgive.
May you feel lighter and brighter and so much love.
Thank you for joining me today.
Many blessings.
