If you are bringing stress and worry into bed with you,

This meditation will help you let it all go before having a nice long restorative sleep.

So let's get in and start it right away.

I'd like you to get comfortable where you are,

Find a spot that's best for you,

Gently close your eyes whenever you're ready,

And take a deep,

Clearing breath.

Tonight you're not taking your problems to bed with you,

You're leaving them outside of this space.

You're actively choosing rest.

So while we're getting comfortable,

While we're finding exactly where we want to be,

I want to take this moment and acknowledge everything you've been carrying,

All the things you've brought with you throughout the day.

I just want you to be aware of them and acknowledge them.

This could have been a hard conversation,

It could be financial stress,

Maybe it's worrying about someone you love,

Maybe it's your own health,

Your own fears,

Your own exhaustion,

Whatever it is,

I just want you to name it,

Acknowledge it,

And don't push it away,

Just visualize it and see it clearly.

Because the truth is,

These things are real,

Your feelings are completely valid,

And you can still choose to release them for the night.

I want you to imagine you're standing at the edge of a body of water,

The moon is out,

It's reflecting beautifully on the surface,

And it's so peaceful here.

I want you to imagine you're holding a case,

And inside this case is everything you've been worrying about.

Feel the case,

Can you feel how heavy it is?

Can you feel how much you're carrying inside this case right now?

This weight that you're feeling,

You've been carrying it all day.

Your body is tired,

Your mind is tired,

And the truth is,

You don't have to carry it any longer.

You don't have to bring it with you into your sleep.

Now,

I want you to take this case,

Walk with it to the edge of the water,

And one by one,

I want you to take each and every worry,

Out of this case.

I want you to release it into that water.

I want you to see each and every worry that you're pulling out of this case,

Slowly dissolve and sink into that water.

And after it sinks,

Continue to watch it,

And continue to feel the burden being lifted.

Because water transforms,

And that's what the water is doing to each and every one of these worries.

The water is transforming it.

The universe can hold this for you tonight.

You do not have to carry it any longer.

So continue,

Continue to release the worry about money into the water.

Release the fears about tomorrow into the water.

Release that conversation you continue to replay over and over.

Let it go into that water.

And I want you to release all the things you can't control.

Release them into that water,

And let them transform.

Continue to do this until your case is completely empty.

Until your hands are completely empty.

And until you feel the lightness of releasing all of those things.

Now,

Turn around.

Behind you,

You see your bed.

It's warm,

It's safe,

And it's waiting for you.

Walk towards the bed.

Imagine yourself laying down,

Pulling those covers over you,

And feeling the warmth and security of that bed.

Today,

You did it.

Today,

You let go.

And now,

You can rest.

I want you to breathe deeply.

And as you breathe,

I want you to imagine you're breathing in peace.

And when you release and breathe out,

You're releasing everything else.

All's you're focused on is absorbing and taking in all that peace that is always available to you.

And if you want,

Tomorrow,

You can pick all those worries back up.

But for now,

They're not yours to hold anymore.

Right now,

You sleep.

Deeply.

Peacefully.

Completely.

You are safe.

You are whole.

And you are worthy of rest.

Good night.
