You have work to do,
Projects to complete,
But your mind is scattered.
This meditation will help you focus,
Get clear,
And get right in the zone.
So sit up straight,
Close your eyes,
And take three deep clearing breaths with me now.
Inhale,
Hold,
And exhale.
Let's do that again.
Inhale,
Hold,
And exhale.
Let's go ahead and do that one more time to fully clear our minds.
Inhale,
Hold,
And exhale.
Now,
I'd like you to imagine your mind is like a computer.
And this computer has 50 different tabs open right now.
It's slow,
It's overwhelmed,
And it's just not functioning at its optimal speed.
Now,
One by one,
Together,
Let's close these tabs.
The email that you need to send,
The conversation from yesterday that's still lingering,
And the things that you're most worried about.
Whether it's what you're gonna have for dinner,
If you're gonna meet your deadline,
Or a project that you have to get done.
Let's close them all for now and minimize everything except the one task that's in front of you.
What are you about to work on?
Name it clearly,
Right now.
Now,
What I want you to do is set your intention.
For example,
For the next 30 minutes,
I am fully focused on writing my email to my boss.
Set that intention for whatever it is that you need to get done and focus on it here for just a moment.
Now,
I want you to imagine a spotlight shining bright on that one task that you just decided on.
And everything else fades to black.
Everything else is just in the background.
Now,
I want you to take one deep breath and as you inhale,
Imagine energy flowing directly into your brain.
Your mind is sharp,
Clear,
And ready to tackle the task at hand.
And when you exhale,
Imagine all those distractions,
All that background stuff,
Dissolving.
You are focused.
You are capable.
And you are ready to do optimal,
Amazing work.
Focus on this task just a little longer with me.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes and get to it.
