For today's session I want to tap on sugar cravings.

Yes I know Halloween is coming up if you are listening to this episode when it comes out.

However maybe this will help you to avoid eating as much candy as you think you might end up eating.

But I want to work on how you feel when you eat something sugary,

Something with processed sugar,

Not necessarily fruit or vegetables that have natural sugars in them,

But that candy,

The chocolate,

The sweet,

Cakes,

Pies.

I know that when I start eating cookies I don't stop.

So I don't keep them in my house.

So I want to tap on how it feels when you are eating something sugary,

Something processed,

Eating that candy.

Think about the first time that you ever had candy.

Was it a treat for you?

Was it a reward?

What was that first feeling of consuming candy,

Consuming sweets?

Were sweets something that were not allowed in your house so you had to sneak them?

And so that kind of became your guilty pleasure per se or something that was kind of forbidden.

And now when you eat that you feel like you get this escape.

But nowadays we are eating a lot more processed foods,

A lot more candy and processed sugars than we really should be eating.

So hopefully this episode will help you to kind of take a step back next time you are reaching for the candy or the treats and to consider something a little more healthier.

So thinking about when you are eating that candy,

You are eating the cookie,

You are eating the cake and just how does your body feel?

How does your mind feel?

Thinking about when you are done.

Do you want more?

Do you want to keep eating more sugary stuff,

More treats?

Or do you feel satisfied when you have had just a little piece of candy?

Think about if you crave it,

Like I know I feel it in the pit of my stomach.

I just want that sugar,

I want the sugar rush.

I want to feel that escape.

So on a scale of 0 to 10,

0 being I don't care about sugar,

I'm just here to tap.

10 is I can't keep sugary stuff in my house because it will go real quick.

So starting by tapping on the side of the hand,

Even though I am craving this sugary sweet treat.

I accept how I feel and I'm open to working through this feeling now.

Even though I want that sugary sweet treat.

And stop thinking about it.

I am open to letting go of this craving.

Even though I just really want to consume all the sweet treats.

I am open to making choices that are better for my body.

I release the sugar cravings.

We'll do just a guided visualization.

I'm going to guide you through the points so we'll start with the eyebrow point.

You are welcome to close your eyes and just follow the points as I guide you through.

Think about when you most crave something processed and sugary.

Think about what usually happens before you feel those cravings.

Side of the eye,

Can you imagine yourself reaching for some healthy fruit instead of a cookie or a candy bar?

Under the eye,

Visualize yourself making the choice of picking something more whole foods based rather than processed.

How does it feel to make a choice that really benefits your body?

Tapping under the nose.

How does it feel to know that you ate something sweet and made a healthier choice?

Tapping under the lip.

How does it feel to have the confidence and the power to make healthier choices?

Tapping on the collarbone.

How does it feel to have that power?

Did you have that power within you?

Under the arm.

You know the choice that's best for you.

What's stopping you from making that choice?

Top of the head.

Honor the fact that you have the power and the strength within you to make healthier choices.

I'll have you stop tapping.

Just take a deep breath.

Sigh it out.

Think about that sweet treat that you really love right now.

Think about on a scale of 0 to 10,

How much you're craving it now.

0 is you're not craving it.

10 is you're still.

Can't go without it today.

And that's fine.

And we'll do another round of tapping on this.

Starting with the eyebrow point.

Even though I'm still feeling a little bit of these sugar cravings.

Side of the eye.

I'm open to releasing the cravings at a cellular level and making better choices for my body.

Under the eye.

All these processed sugar cravings.

Under the nose.

Release.

Tapping under the lip.

Giving processed sugar and treats.

Collarbone release.

Under the arm.

Processed sugar cravings.

Release.

Top of the head.

I know that these cravings may not go away right away,

But I am open to stopping in my tracks when I can and asking myself if this is the best decision for my body.

Eyebrow point.

And if I make a decision to eat something processed and sweet.

Side of the eye.

I'm going to give myself grace.

Under the eye.

I'm not going to beat myself up over it or berate myself.

Under the nose.

But I'm going to think about how I feel following eating that sugary treat.

Under the lip.

I'm going to remember how I feel when this decision comes up again.

Collarbone.

Processed sugary treats.

Craving these treats.

Under the arm.

I release these cravings.

Top of the head.

Processed sugary treat cravings.

Eyebrow point.

I release these cravings now.

Side of the eye.

I can make healthier choices.

Under the eye.

I can listen to my body and support it with what it needs.

Under the nose.

My body supports me.

Under the lip.

And I have the confidence that I can support it right back.

Collarbone.

I release these cravings for sugary processed treats.

Under the arm.

I honor the work that I am doing today.

Top of the head.

And I honor all the work that I may do in the future in regards to these cravings.

We can gently stop tapping.

Take a deep breath.

And let it out.

If your cravings don't go away right away,

That is normal.

Just see how you feel if you come across some sugary treat,

A processed treat,

And it's something that you've wanted.

See if you still are craving that.

And hopefully this tapping session will help you to take a step back next time the situation is presented to you and make the best choice for you.
