Welcome to the tape-recorded meditation,
How to Use Your Inner Voice,
By Robert John Malone.
We each have a unique voice,
And most of us have experienced that moment of surprise the first time hearing our voice recorded.
Here,
I would like to share with you one of the first profound experiences I had practicing the art of meditation.
Somehow over the years,
I was blessed to sit with many enlightened souls of various cultures and degrees of faith.
In this process,
One day,
A new practice came to me,
Utilizing an analogy of our modern world.
And I pray that as you take it out into the world,
That it helps you find a deeper connection with the nature of reality.
As we begin to practice meditation,
We begin to learn metaphysical principles,
Such as your inner voice is speaking,
And thus arises the infamous question,
Then who is listening?
Here today,
I would like to invite you to contemplate that your inner voice has vastly different capabilities than your physical voice.
While externally we are limited in our capacity for speaking certain languages and producing certain types of sounds,
Our inner voice has a unique function that you can access,
And I would like to call it the tape recorder meditation.
Here,
I would like you to begin to listen to the sounds that come up,
And as they do,
I would like you to do your best to recreate these sounds inside your mind as though,
Again,
Your voice was the tape recorder and simply playing back the sounds.
Now to do this requires a certain amount of focus,
And if you find it challenging,
You may want to start with one of the foundational practices I offer,
Called sharpening the mind.
As we begin,
We will start by relaxing the breath,
Breathing gently,
Yet deeply,
Three times.
Here,
As you close your eyes,
Relax your shoulders,
Take a moment to wiggle your fingers and your toes as you slowly inhale,
And gently exhale.
Letting the hands and feet go,
Inhale,
And inhale just a little more.
Exhale all the way,
And a little extra.
Take a full breath,
And a gentle sigh.
Now as the sounds come up,
Simply listen best you can,
And as you do,
I invite you to imagine you are recording the sounds,
Then after each sound,
There will be a pause,
And I invite you to recreate these sounds,
Back to yourself,
The best you can.
So,
Quickly you will begin to see your inner voice can recreate almost any sound,
A guitar,
An animal,
A hum,
Etc.
Now that you know how to access this metaphysical function of the mind,
I would like to invite you into a certain dimension available in nature.
Each morning and each evening,
Songbirds will arrive in the canopies around our home forest.
Perhaps for you,
It's a park nearby,
But one day,
When you can,
Find a place with birds.
Birds are unique animals,
As we all know they can fly.
This is a unique ability amongst the animal kingdom,
And the sounds that they create also happen to operate within a certain frequency spectrum,
And this is a bandwidth of energy that contains knowledge and information just like the telecommunication lines of the internet.
Recently it has been shown that many trees respond to the birds' songs early in the morning and late in the evening,
Signaling them when to awaken and when to rest.
For the next two minutes,
I would like to invite you to practice with the birds around our home,
And see what comes up for you today.
Now as I shared,
I hope you take this meditation out into reality,
And go into nature away from technology.
Just sit with the birds,
The trees,
And the wind,
The bugs,
And the sun,
And just listen.
And communicate back with reality,
Whatever comes to you that day,
And see what you discover.
Over time,
As you begin to work with this,
One day you will find out that the animals will respond to your thoughts.
And if you speak to them in their own sounds,
They will begin to speak back to you,
And share what they have taught me.
May this tool be applied while listening to mantras,
And may you discover new ways to use this tool.
For those of you that feel called to,
Please share your experiences in the comments,
And see what others have found with this simple practice.
My fellow earthlings,
I pray you find more peace and connection in this unique experience of using your inner voice.
Namaste.
