Again and again.
A gentle morning practice.
Clarity,
And attention.
Take a moment to settle in.
You don't need to be completely awake yet.
You don't need to know what they were doing.
And you certainly don't need to have everything figured out before your feet hit the floor.
For these next few minutes.
You can simply be here.
Notice the sounds around you.
Notice the birds beginning their dance.
They aren't waiting for everything to be perfect.
They aren't asking what yesterday means for today.
Morning,
Kane.
And they begin again.
Now take a slow breath in.
And gently let it go.
Again,
Breathe in.
And release.
One more time,
Breathe in.
And as you breathe out,
Let yourself arrive fully in this moment.
Notice your body.
Not to judge how it feels.
Not to change anything.
Just notice.
Maybe you feel rested.
Maybe you don't.
Maybe your mind is already moving to everything that you need to do today.
That's okay.
You don't have to silence it.
Just notice that it's happening.
Before the world begins asking things of you.
For the messages,
The responsibility.
The decisions,
The norming.
There's this one.
And this moment belongs to you.
Yesterday may still be lingering somewhere.
Conversation.
Disappointment.
Something unfinished.
Something you're worried about.
Maybe something wonderful happened and you're still hearing that too.
You don't have to pretend that yesterday didn't happen.
In order to begin again.
You can simply decide.
What deserves to come next.
To quietly ask yourself.
What am I carrying into this morning?
Don't search for an answer,
Just notice what happens.
Whatever came forward,
You don't have to judge it.
Just look at it.
And ask yourself.
Do I want to carry this into today?
You can come back to it if you need to.
But you don't have to carry everything everywhere you go.
And if the answer is yes,
Ask yourself.
How do I want to carry it?
Maybe something that felt heavy yesterday can become information today.
Maybe disappointment can become clarity.
Maybe uncertainty.
And become curiosity.
Maybe excitement can become action.
Maybe you just don't know yet.
That's so cagey.
Take another slow breath in.
And release.
Listen again to the boarding round.
Life's already moving.
Not waiting for permission.
Just responding to the conditions of this particular day.
Now ask yourself.
How do I want to feel today?
Not what do I need to accomplish.
Not what does everyone else need from me.
But how do I want to feel while I move through this day?
Maybe you want to feel peaceful.
Carry it.
Okay.
Playful.
Random people.
Focused.
Maybe another word came to mind.
Who left that word?
Belong to you.
You don't need to control everything that happens today in order to influence how you meet it.
There will always be things outside of your control.
Other people's choices.
Unexpected problems.
Changes in plan?
Traffic.
Weather.
Tiny.
Life being life.
But there's still a space that belongs to you.
The space between what happens and how you choose to move forward.
So ask yourself.
What would support the way I want to feel today.
Maybe it's something very small.
Moving your body.
Drinking some water.
Opening window.
Sending a message.
Taking your time.
Setting a boundary.
Finishing one thing instead of starting five.
Doing something you've been avoiding.
Or just giving yourself permission to enjoy something without turning it into something productive.
Whatever came to you,
Notice it.
You don't have to make a promise.
You don't have to create another obligation.
Just recognize what might support you.
Now think about the day ahead.
There may be things that you already know about.
And there will be things that you cannot possibly anticipate.
You don't need to rehearse every possibility.
You don't need to solve problems that haven't happened yet.
You only need enough clarity for the next step.
So ask yourself.
What matters most today.
Not what's loudest.
Not what's most urgent to someone else.
What matters most.
Let yourself hear the answer.
And if there isn't one yet.
Let the question travel.
Because sometimes a good question is more useful than a quick answer.
And take another long,
Slow breath in.
Feel the air entering your body.
And release it.
Notice the sounds around you again.
The world's continued moving while you've been sitting.
And so are you.
Maybe nothing dramatic has changed.
It doesn't need to.
Beginning again doesn't require becoming someone new.
It can simply mean meeting this day without assuming that it must become a repetition of yesterday.
Today has not happened yet.
In the dark night.
There are conversations you haven't had.
Things you haven't noticed,
People you haven't encountered.
Ideas you haven't thought,
Possibilities you cannot see from where you're sitting right now.
There is room here.
Room for something unexpected.
Run for a different choice.
Room for you to surprise yourself.
So before you move into your day,
Ask yourself one final question.
What do I want to bring with me?
Maybe it's the feeling that you chose earlier.
Maybe it's curiosity.
Patience.
Courage.
Human.
Kindness.
Conference.
Maybe it's simply the willingness to pay attention.
Whatever it is,
You don't have to hold it tightly.
Just carry it gently.
Let's take one final slow breath in.
And let it go.
Feel your body where you are.
Listen to the life around you.
Notice that you are a part of it.
You don't need to know how this whole thing will unfold.
You only need to meet the part of it that's here.
Bismillah.
Destroyed.
This next step.
Yesterday is complete.
Tomorrow isn't asking anything of you yet.
And today.
.
.
Is still becoming.
So are you.
So when you're ready.
Begin again.
