Welcome dear one.
Let's begin by simply arriving.
Let the body become still.
Let the breath become soft.
Let the moment be enough.
This is a meditation for slowing down.
Begin by breathing gently in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Non unhurried breaths.
There is no need to rush.
No need to achieve.
This is your space to simply be.
Now bring your attention to the rhythm of your breath.
Feel how it moves like waves.
Soft,
Steady,
Slow.
Each inhale a return.
Each exhale a release.
Now begin to feel the slowness in the world around you.
Winter has come and with it the invitation to pause,
To soften,
To live in quieter rhythms.
In the stillness you begin to notice more.
The small shifts in your breath.
The quiet beat of your heart.
The aliveness in your body when you're not rushing.
Repeat softly,
I am allowed to slow down.
I trust the wisdom of this pace.
In stillness I reconnect with myself.
Now imagine your nervous system as a field of wildflowers,
Gently swaying in a calm breeze.
Your breath is the breeze.
Your presence is the sun.
Let it be simple.
Let it be slow.
And if thoughts arise,
That's okay.
Just return again and again to the breath,
To the slowness,
To the sacred pause.
This is where healing happens.
This is where clarity returns.
And now bring both hands to your heart.
Let yourself be held by your own breath,
By your own presence.
Open your eyes.
Carry the softness with you.
Let your day move like a winter river.
Slow,
Intentional,
Full of grace.
